I got this AC unit because my finished attic / man cave is harder to cool than the rest of the house. The central air goes to the room, but it is always 5 to 10 degrees F hotter than the rest of the house, which makes it very uncomfortable. With this AC unit, it cools it to a perfect temperature in just a few minutes (less than 10), and makes life much more enjoyable in the room. It also has a remote control, which makes it easy to change temp or turn the unit on and off as needed. It comes with the full window kit to install. There are adhesive foam strips to line the window so you can properly seal the area, which is nice. I appreciated the fact that I didn't need to go buy anything additional to install this unit. There is also a hose and port for the condensed humidity to drain out from. I simply have a small bucket to catch the water, and so far I have not even needed to empty it. Overall, this unit has been a great purchase for me. I couldn't be happier with the result, and I am looking forward to enjoying my man cave more this summer than I ever have before. I have a 24 foot by 24 foot three season patio room that is neither heated or air-conditioned. I installed this in that room. Installation was easy and I had it up and running in less then an hour. The Temps in the room were over 91 degrees, Iset the thermastat at 77degrees, thirty minutes later it was at 80 degrees in the room. It continued running and room was so cool that I raised the thermastat to 81 and thats where I have it set now. It works great and I love it!! Purchased the 14,000BTU unit in May 2025. It lasted about a month until it started giving me problems and completely stopped working. Worked great for the first few weeks with moderate use in a 600sqft space. I know someone else had mentioned in their review - the compressor makes a shockingly loud BANG everytime it shuts off. It almost sounds like it’s not bolted down and just slams into the side of the machine everytime it cycles off. About a month in the unit kept popping the circuit it was plugged into. Electrical ratings were all more than sufficient and it was the only operating appliance on the circuit. For the first few weeks perfectly fine and then I couldn’t run it for more than 15-20min on anything but fan without it popping the circuit. Shortly after it stopped working altogether. This ran continues for 15 hours only shutting down to drain water and then only for 15 minutes or so. Kept two rooms very comfortable throughout the couple of weeks of 95° plus degrees that we had couple months ago. I was surprised that it wasn't as noisy as some tend to be. This has been a lifesaver in this hotter-than-normal summer we are having. I have a very large bedroom and it's powerful enough to cool it down fairly quickly (turn it on about 30 minutes before going to bed) and keeps it cool all night. It's not silent, but not too loud either. It will drown out noise from outside though, which is good in my opinion. I shopped around and looked at many other choices, and I am glad I went with this one. I think the price is great for the power you get with this one. I recommend it. Read more

I really like this air conditioner, but it has some deal breakers. I've been using it all summer and it cools down a 300ft bedroom within 30 min (75 to 68 usually). It's light weight enough (~65lbs) and packaged well enough to wrestle it up the 7 steps to my apartment as a woman. The filter does a nice job even with the enormous amounts of wildfire smoke we've have this summer. The remote has not had issues. Very strong air stream. Good timer and you can turn off the lights completely for bedtime. The hose also directly slides and clips into the back. All great things! But it's REALLY loud. Like, wear ear plugs to protect your hearing if you're sleeping with it on. (If you can sleep with it on). And the part of the hose that connects to the window? IT.NEVER.STAYS.CONNECTED!!!!!!! I even bought duct tape and special metal tape to help hold it on place. It would stay for a few days and fall out, blasting your room with super heated air. I HATE IT. It has nothing to clip to! ************ Worthless design. Fix those two issues and this is a winner. Until then, scream into the void and spend your money elsewhere. Read more

Did the job with the AC went upstairs. This unit was in my bed room and was able to keep the bed room, haulway and on of my kids room nice and cool. If you need a portable AC unit this is a great pick. Read more

Works great isn’t any louder than any traditional window unit and keeps my 1000sqft apartment at a nice 72 even on days where it’s almost 100 outside it does run a good but when it’s hot but it’s also not rated for as big as my apartment is and I was not expecting it to be off a lot for that very reason.
