Worth the money would purchase again if needed. Read more
THIS is the one you want. Holds laptop PERFECT and doesn't suffer from the other inferior designs with the hinges on the front of the supports. Rubber pads keep the stand very well planted and in place. Read more
This stand is good… really good!! Honestly, my expectation was not high. I knew it would be useful and convenient, but I thought it would be cheap, flimsy and wobbly and require some fidgeting to get it set up right. Nope! Right out of the box it is a super star! Very good quality aluminum was the first thing I noticed. Simply pull it open to the width you desire then flip it over and dial in your desired height and angle by setting the legs in place (you have 6 different settings) and that’s really it! Just put your laptop or tablet on it and go to work! As you will see from my photos, it’s width is adjustable, enabling you to make it narrow enough to accommodate devices as small as your smart phone or as wide as your 16” laptop! Simply pull it apart to the desired size. I found the act of pulling it apart smooth and quite satisfying, both visually and to the touch. There are protective rubber bumpers thoughtfully placed where they are needed to prevent scratching of your tabletop and your expensive electronic device. The stand is ultra light weight but looks - and more importantly - FEELS premium! It also comes with a velvet-ish carry pouch, which is so useful for those of us who want to keep everything we own (including our laptop stands) looking new and unscratched. The inclination is to just throw it in your backpack or carry bag… do that enough times and your little stand will look like trash! But if you FIRST put it in the provided velvet-ish pouch it will remain looking sharp and new! I found this ProtoArc stand to be solid and stable while I type on it with my 16” MacBook Pro. It does not wobble or creak or move in any way. It’s SOLID and still on your tabletop. Oh, and did I mention that it is ridiculously portable! It’s super light weight and folds up to a thin, small footprint! You can carry it in your inner jacket pocket or even in a laptop sleeve with the laptop in it! Really portable!! I am racking my brain trying to think of something negative to say about this stand… I’ve got nothing! It does precisely what it was designed to do and does it with style whilst fitted in premium materials! At the time of this writing it lists for $24.99 with a coupon bringing it down to $17.49. At $24.99, in my opinion, it’s worth it! So my advice is grab it while you can get it at $17.49 with the coupon! That’s a pretty good value! I am giving this ProtoArc stand 5 stars! I recommend it highly! Read more

Overall at about $24.99 this is a good value and getting close to a great value when it’s closer to $20 for a portable adjustable aluminum laptop stand. The material feels like good quality aluminum with nice silicone padding where the laptop sits and on the feet, so it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. From a functionality and ergonomics standpoint I really like that it has multiple height/angle settings – once you get it dialed in it brings the screen up closer to eye level and takes some strain off the neck and shoulders. Stability has been solid for me with a 13–15" laptop; the triangular structure and rubber pads keep it from sliding around while typing. It folds down very flat and light and the included pouch is handy so I can toss it in a backpack without it scratching other things. It’s still a folding travel-friendly stand, so if you’re a really heavy typer you can get a tiny bit of wobble compared to a big fixed riser, and like most open designs it doesn’t change the fact that your external keyboard/mouse setup matters for posture too. On the plus side, the open center helps airflow and keeps the laptop a bit cooler than sitting directly on the desk. Overall, for an adjustable, portable aluminum stand that feels well made and actually improves comfort at the desk or on the go, I’m happy with it around $25 and would call it an even better value when it drops a little lower on sale. I am a big fan in my home office and at work to be using a bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. To do this, my machines at work are on elevated stands to accommodate my MacBooks. So I started looking around for a stand that would be mobile and would give me this same freedom when I was out and about. I came across the ProtoArc stand and after receiving it, realized I made a good choice. This is a solid metal stand with a lot of versatility. You can set the angle at a variety of levels (my pics show the lowest and greatest incline) and the "legs" easily nest within the stand itself. In addition you have a "brake" at the end of each arm that keeps my MacBook in place. These also nest. And by nesting, I mean that this unit folds down to a very compact and flat rectangle that makes it easy to transport. There is also a bag that comes with the stand that provides protection. Protection not only for the stand itself, but also for any objects it might rub up against while in your pack or satchel. This easily held the weight of my MacBook M2 15" computer and it will easily accommodate my MacBook Air (which is my intended computer). I just wanted to demonstrate you can go with a heavier machine and the stand does not break a sweat - most likely due to the aluminum construction. Stoked on this stand and look forward to not having to crane my neck when I am on the go. Read more
