We bought our first PUREgrace crib mattress cover for our daughter's toddler convertible bed a year and a half ago when looking for a safe and high quality product for her to sleep on after a disappointing leakage experience with the cover we'd gotten when purchasing her crib. We have been so impressed with this cover that we bought them for her new twin bed - as well as for our queen mattress. This cover is easy to get on/off and has proven to be waterproof; it has fitted sides so it envelops the mattress and there is no accidental leakage from it slipping around. The material itself is so soft and comfortable that it's kind of hard to believe it absorbs liquid - but it does, as we can attest from many overnight accidents and sick days. It's not that plasticky kind of cover that keeps you awake all night or causes you to overheat. It's also really easy to clean; it washes well and is dryer safe - but I have always air dried ours as an extra precaution and it dries well within the day. I highly recommended this. Update: 1/2023: this cover is still in great condition after almost 2 years and NUMEROUS washings. My toddler is having a particularly difficult time with potty training, and my matress still loks brandnew thanks to this cover. Okay, I love this! I recently purchased a memory foam mattress and didn't want to pay $200 for the mattress companies version, so I found this one. It's water proof, I know this very well because my toddler sleeps with me pretty often and occasionally has accidents. The protector works perfectly. I've also had to wash it a number of times in the past 4 months, and its held up extremely well. Its soft to the touch and doesn't interfere with the comfort of the mattress. And the additional straps to keep it on your mattress are AMAZING. I never have to fuss with it, even after using the adjustable base moving the mattress around. Before I purchased my new mattress, I also used mattress covers, which served their purpose, but had to be readjust a lot and were really BULKY. This cover is not, it seems to weigh a little more than the other covers, but takes up much less room. 10/10. I can't recommend this product enough. Read more

At nearly $90 for a waterproof TPU Sheet, I started researching for an affordable product ( affordable relevant to your budget) So Glad I came across this PUREgrace Twin Mattress Protector, I have it over a twin size 6 Inch IKEA Foam Mattress and it stays in place, no crinkling sound, and the bed feels so comfy, it is so soft. We use organic cotton sheets over the mattress protector. I will be making another purchase for my other child's bed Twin bed. On a side note I have found that switching the kid's entire bedding to non toxic, organic bedding is quiet expensive up front but their breathing has improved. My daughters both used to wake up sneezing and one had a script for breathing treatments, now I rarely notice them having breathing difficulties. UPDATE AS OF JUNE 2018: I still love this mattress protector, I have just purchased another - I have been hoping for the price to fluctuate (lower) However the price has remained consistent on Amazon. I have washed my mattress protector in my front loader washing machine on cold temperature and let them air dry out on the clothes line. I highly recommend purchasing this item, the price is steep compared to all the other garbage on amazon - However this item is justified in its price. This mattress pad is in a class of its own, it is so soft, no smell out of the bag, no crinkling sound, no scratchy material. This is the only mattress protector I will ever buy. It's the best! I have 4 of these for crib/toddler beds, 2 for pack and play mattresses, a queen size, and king size. My kids had numerous accidents while potty training and nothing ever leaked through to the mattress. I've even tested one by pouring water from the faucet onto one side and nothing goes through. Washed and dried numerous times with no damage. They are a little pricey, but worth every penny! Soft and absolutely no plastic noise or chemical smells.
