I dont know why, but my right thumb has begun hurting like i had pulled a muscle or like the joint isnt sent right. To bend it in would be like torture. So i bought this to hold it in place for a few hours. Only happens occasionally but when it happens i cant stand it. Not carpal tunnel. No other fingers feel this way. It is bulky and uncomfortable to wear dor ling periods of time. While i like the rigidity, cant do much with my hand once its on.. it is strong, seems to be stitched well. Easy to use. This brace is made from quality materials. It’s sturdy & provides the support I was needing. However, the design & fabric of the adjustable straps that hold it on needs considerable adjustment. The wrist strap, unless pulled too tight, will move out of place with every touch of a sleeve or wrist movement. The thumb strap closure tab has such sharp corners, that it actually cut the sheet on my bed while I was straightening the covers. It also doesn’t close around the thumb enough. It sticks out & interferes with the movement of my knuckle, causing it to open & need to be repositioned . The strap that goes around the hand, as well as the 1 for the thumb, has Velcro a tiny bit larger it’s cover. This allows for every single bit of fabric fuzz it comes close to, to stick to it. I didn't know I needed the thumb support until I got this brace. The only drawback is that the material on the inside is a little rough on my skin, but I have fleece fingerless gloves I can wear under this, so it's really great. Read more
