The media could not be loaded. I recently moved into an older house where the main light switch is inconveniently placed all the way across the room. Every night I’d walk into complete darkness, which was honestly annoying and a little unsafe. I decided to try this remote-control outlet plug, and it has been exactly what I needed. Setup was quick and easy—just plug it in, pair the remote, and you’re ready to go. Now I can turn my lamp on before I even step into the room. No more fumbling, no more tripping hazards, and no more walking across a dark room just to switch on a light. I don’t have anything to report yet on battery life, but the remote uses a simple round battery, so replacing it should be easy when the time comes. As for durability, nothing about this product feels cheap. You can easily take the remote out of the light switch assembly. It even comes with hardware if you wanted to mount the remote, though I opted to use command strips and that worked perfectly. If you live in an older home, have a hard-to-reach switch, or just want the convenience of turning on a light from wherever you are, this little device is a total game changer and works well. I received the two Zolinet Remote Control Outlet Plug Switches and installed them. So far, no problem. They seem to work well. I especially like the LED light in the switch on the wall that lets me know I had sent the signal to turn on or off the light I am controlling. Some people reported that their units failed to work in time, but so far, so good. Mine work fine since I received them. Appears to be a quality product which is what I usually look for when I am buying. So, I am very pleased to have these in my home. They are very easy to use, just push the switch. Does exactly what you need it to do. Was able to run some lights from an outlet all the way to the ceiling without any problems. The switch is super functional and the price is worth it. I bought this to control my newly installed under-cabin LED's, and it does exactly the job as required. The reason I need this is so I can control the lights from another wall without having to run wires inside the dry-wall. This switch actually came pre-programmed and worked right out of the box. The battery life so far had no problem, and the adhesive sticks to my dry-wall very well. As this is wireless, there is no wiring involved, which is great!
