I purchased this to replace a different home camera system that just wasn’t meeting my expectations—and wow, the difference is night and day! The picture clarity on these 12MP cameras is absolutely stunning crystal clear during the day and surprisingly sharp at night thanks to the color night vision and built-in spotlights. You can clearly see faces, license plates, and fine details that my old system couldn’t begin to pick up. The person, vehicle, and pet detection features are a game changer. I love that I get smart alerts tailored to real motion, not just leaves blowing in the wind. And the two-way audio works incredibly well being able to speak directly through the cameras adds an extra layer of convenience and security. Playback and video review is super easy with the NVR system and included 4TB hard drive. Whether I’m viewing recordings or taking snapshots, the interface is intuitive and fast. I was up and running in no time, and the app makes remote viewing seamless. Other features I really appreciate: Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) setup clean, simple, and reliable. 16-channel NVR allows plenty of room to expand if I ever want to add more cameras. I purchased this system to replace a Speco commercial setup that was dropping a camera and required occasional resetting. Added 4 cameras to make an 8 camera setup. Setup was very easy. It came with 60 foot ethernet cables (I wish they came with 100 foot cables), one of which was a dud so I replaced with a custom Cat6 cable. 2 cameras needed to go through a hard reset but that solved a connectivity problem. Resolution is amazing and I like how they turn a spotlight on with detected movement. The app works flawlessly on my Windows 11 PC and also my Ipad and Android devices. This is an outstanding system. Simple install - just run ethernet cable and the system will automatically recognize the cameras the moment you plug them in. 12MB video quality is outstanding, particularly when viewed on a 4K monitor. Very intuitive interface such that I found myself customizing the system without having to refer to a manual. I especially like the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the camera alert system, as well as having the motion sensitive flood lighting and alarm - which you can customize to only go off on certain cameras and at certain times of the day. The wired mouse that comes with the system is not the highest quality, but I simply replaced it with a wireless PC mouse I had sitting around the house and it works flawlessly. The phone app works well and I had no difficulty setting it up or pairing it with the system. It allows me to view the video streams remotely, or for that matter, listen or speak to someone via the cameras. An all-around outstanding product that doesn't require a paid subscription. For advanced security use, you can save your own incident videos to your own server storage / cloud space for an added layer of protection. I highly recommend this system! Read more

In short the system is a great value. I bought it for Black Friday sale 11/2024. Pro: POE, Video quality good day and night,Easy Installation, Easy setup, Large storage drive, and iPhone App is not difficult. Con: Motion detection gets many false detections with changes in light and shadows. Also it is set off by insects flying nearby and sometimes heavy rain. I made many adjustments but will never be without some nuisance. But with that said I never expected perfection for the price I paid. After seven months one camera did go bad, and I contacted Reolink by chat and worked with the tech for about an hour troubleshooting the camera (that I already knew was bad). They sent me an email with the information on how to return the camera and then sent me an updated camera since my model is no longer in stock. This was a small hassle and I had to pay for shipping but I did get the new camera in 5 days after shipping the bad one. In closing I did add two more cameras to the system for a total of ten and as long as I don't lose more than one camera a year I feel that it was worth the price. Read more
