To my surprise, I was told that I must keep my leg and knee straight (not bent) and elevated while recovering from my knee replacement surgery. I was sent home with a foot elevator which kept my leg straight but it also put more pressure on my knee and exasperated my pain. This elevated pillow has made such a difference in supporting my knee and leg making my recovery so much more comfortable. The cover is so soft, fuzzy, removable and washable. I’m four days out from knee replacement surgery and this pillow has been a life saver! Works for sleeping and keeping swollen knee elevated above heart while leg is straight, works on the couch to elevate and keeping swollen knee straight, and works in the recliner for sleeping at night and keeping leg straight. It also provides support for my knee when getting up off of the chair or couch. Of all the things I purchased, this is my ride or die right now. Can’t say enough about the quality, price, and need for this item. Update - the smaller wedgy that detaches is great as healing occurs. Finding that two weeks out I sometimes need just a little elevation when sleeping. Still keeps knee straight and can revert back to large wedge if needed for swelling. Read more

This is an excellent pillow for a knee replacement recovery! Very comfortable!! I turn the pillow upside down and use the flatter and smaller side to keep my leg straighter. This side seems to work better to ensure the leg is straight and this is very important so that my knee does not bend; especially for several weeks right after surgery. I feel the bigger side would b e great with a brace. I do wish that the pillow was a bit higher so that I get better elevation. However, for more elevation, I add some pillows. I push the pillows back a bit so that my knee does not bend. I highly recommend this pillow for knee replacement surgery! I can see why the reviews are so good!! Read more

Purchased for a family member as their surgeon did not order one post ACL repair and bone graft. Adjustment ability is minimal, height is optimal, my family member stated that it was easy to carry even on crutches. It's easy to use, doesn't slip on cotton sheets but may in other surfaces. It's of good quality with very soft fabric. This would also work well to help elevate the lower extremities if they are edematous. Read more
