Hard to find the right fit Does your partner workout like a maniac? Did he mess up his rotator cuff doing so? Are his arms and chest too big for the regular cheap supports that it’s hard to figure out which ones to get? Well, this one comes close! With a chest span of reportedly 56”, it does very well fit my husbands 54” chest, though the first try was hard as heck to get it on him. The arms were a little tougher as his biceps are 19” and his armholes measure 27”. The arms were a straps on this one are holding on my their teeth but thankfully, there’s a little black extender they added in this brace to help with that. It’s helped to keep his arm supported so far and even tho we haven’t tried the ice pack yet, hope it’s helpful. After the first use, the brace was less stiff, and was a little easier to put on around his chest. He definitely can’t put this on by himself, but I definitely will always help him. The little pump it comes with offers a little extra compression that also helps alleviates some pain so I’m hoping this brace helps him in the long run. So far, I’d rate this brace a 4.5 as it is a little tough because it’s on the smaller side for my husband but he is a big guy so it’s definitely the biggest I saw when looking. Read more

Overall this item is great. It is comfortable, easy to use, fits great, and definitely gets the job done with pain relief. HOWEVER, there are 2 things I want to make sure people know about it. 2 things that I should not have to deal with regarding a medical grade ice brace but here we are... 1: The 'gel' pack isn't like regular gel packs that DO NOT FREEZE. This one will definitely come out of the freezer hard. It isn't completely solid as ice but it does freeze into what feels like little ice fibers and is stiff. As you wear it the 'gel' will return to that normal gel feeling and you have to be intentional in moving the gel around and even it out across the pack before you refreeze. If you do not do this it will freeze uneven.* -1 star * 2: The Velcro... seriously? Instead of having the hook loop affixed to the brace it is a little 3x4 pad that always comes off when you go to take off a strap. On top of this, the Velcro on the straps won't keep a strong enough connection to the brace so you HAVE to use the little pad. * -1 star * Read more

I do a lot of welding so my shoulders get sore and when i get home and put this bad boy on it feels really nice, well made and the pressure you can get out of it is nice too! idk how this stacks up to others because this is the only one I've ever owned but it's nice. Reason for 4 stars is it takes up a lot of space in the fridge. Read more

I have tried a few different products similar. This is the first one that I felt was actually doing something and wasn't cutting into my side. I am a bigger guy so graces of any type can be a struggle. I'm 6'4" 265lbs this brace is amazing very well made and thought out. Side is comfortable and holds your arm very well. The ice packs are a great addition along with the air pump. My only complaint would be the direction that the hose points out of the shoulder. It points straight at your neck/face and can be annoying. I'm sure I'll get used to it. Read more

This takes two people to put on, but once the job is done it does a great job of stabilizing the arm and shoulder, which really keeps you from doing stupid stuff and causing more pain. Good for a rotator cuff tear, but the Doc has warned me not to depend on it all the time because my shoulder could freeze up. Read more

I ordered the Polar Bear Cryo Shoulder Brace – Medical-Grade Cold & Compression Therapy for Injury Recovery, Adjustable Universal Fit for Men & Women, Black. This is quite the unit, and I knew when I pulled it out that it was heavy duty and good quality. It is a little bit difficult to figure out, and I actually can't wear it as intended because I don't have help putting it on with my injury. I basically have to rig it up where it looks ridiculous and doesn't fit right otherwise I will injure myself, because I have a bicep and shoulder injury. I was still able to get it to work and give myself compression. There is a removable ice pack that is the shape of the brace which is nice and sticks on there well with the velcro. I couldn't ice my injury better any other way as this wraps around everything offering a very cold treatment with a long sleeve shirt on that's long lasting. The velcro in general is very heavy duty and strong. In fact, it is so strong. It makes it even harder to get this on and off even in modified settings otherwise I could hurt myself. Obviously, if the velcro wasn't strong it wouldn't be as effective, it's just one of those types of situations where you really do need help in many cases if there is a legitimate injury in certain areas. The pump is removable which I really like since it's annoying to have it dangling. It's easy to take off, and it's self-explanatory how to do so. It's very therapeutic, and it is exactly what I need for my injury as well as after I do some of my own PT at home. The ice pack is also nice to have in the freezer as it can be used for other things. I have so many different braces or slings for my injury at this point, and this is the most therapeutic and helpful, thank you. Read more
