This is a great TV for people who want one without the compromise of having a large black rectangle sitting on the wall when it's off. If you're looking at this TV and the aesthetics of it are not #1 or #2 on your checklist then you're better off getting an alternative which will give you better picture quality and interface software at a lower price. For an average user the picture quality is good enough, and the sound from the TV is surprisingly clear and loud. Not good enough to replace a soundbar, but enough to make you think twice about ruining the clean look against the wall. The included mounting bracket is fairly simple to install, gives you a very flat and tight installation. It also has the simple but extremely helpful ability to adjust the TV to ensure it is level post-mount. Some paintings, depending on your lighting and arrangement, will look more realistic in art-mode than others. Enough to fool anyone? No. Good enough to make a wall look nicer than having a black box on it? Yes. The software for the TV and it's available storage are quite simply terrible. The low amount of storage provided is a joke (less than ~2gb of usable space) and has a real cost against the amount of applications and pictures you can store on it. This also likely plays some role in causing applications to run very slowly and to frequently hang/glitch/have issues loading. Again, to my main point, if your #1 or #2 priority is to ensure this TV looks good on your wall then this is remedied by relying on an Apple tv/Chromecast/Roku, etc. as your primary interface to load content. The Samsung software otherwise has very odd nuances and software annoyances which could easily be fixed with some attention from Samsung, however, based on the amount of issues that have been posted to their forums from users and the amount of time that has passed since then, I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing any of these updates coming through any time soon. One happy example is that if your TV is connected via an ethernet cable to your network the mobile phone application will not be able to connect to it in order to manage artwork or other settings. Switching your TV to Wi-Fi will fix this issue. Samsung's response is to indicate that this is a local network issue to deflect blame instead of asking whether or not there are any differences in your home network or to take into account that others have raised the exact same scenario also citing that there are no Wi-Fi versus ethernet differences. It's a bug in their software that you'll either learn to live with, or not... The quick connect box is a great design, requiring only a single fiber cable connection from it to the TV for power and all audio/video/network connectivity. This allows the box to be neatly hidden away along with any devices you'd usually need to connect to the back of your TV. The remote is RF based so you won't need line of sight in order to operate it. Read more

This TV has a really easy time picking up the land line cable signal from my home, the TVs I was replacing would only pick up a fraction of the channels. It also had a surprising list of Samsung channels available, as well. It has a really user friendly setup process, it's easier if you have a laptop, or smartphone with you so you can activate the specific sites they need you to verify yourself from. Read more

Got this tv because the sound on our other tv went bad. The sound quality on this tv is excellent! You do have to turn the volume up pretty high to hear at times but there seems to be enough volume thus far. Picture quality is really good as well. Read more

I have been very disappointed with this TV. While the picture is bright, sharp and clear, people's speech is not in sync with their video image. People's voices are noticeably behind the movement of their lips. I have tried using the built-in speakers, a Sonos sound bar via eHDMI and the sound bar via the optical Toslink output. The eHDMI feed is the best but it's sound is still noticeably behind the action on the screen. It is puzzling that others have not complained about this problem. The other features of The Frame are great. It looks good and is flat against the wall. When it is off it displays artwork and photos. It fits in well with our living room. For people that want to feed the connecting cable through the wall or through a conduit I'm attaching pictures of the plug that attaches to the One Connect Box. This is the smaller of the two plugs on the interconnect cable. Its dimensions are as follows: HxWxL = 1/2" x 1" x 1 3/4". The extension that actually plugs into the socket is centered on the end and has the following dimensions: HxWxL = 5/16" x 3/4" x 5/16". Read more
