I’m impressed by the quality. The buttons though seem a little loose and may fall off but that doesn’t bother me. I know how to sew so I’ll just reinforce. What a gorgeous beautifully made sweater. The excellence is in every detail. The color gray is rich, the cable knit is so thick and every attention to detail was made. There's extra of these same color sturdy buttons too. It's soft as can be and not one bit scratchy. You could wear this almost like a jacket it's that warm. I wear a size large top but the photos made it look slim cut so I got an XL. Wise decision because it fits just right. Don't forget you will have a top on under this sweater so I suggest you size up. This is a timeless classic and you or someone else will have it for decades. I wear my daughter's pricey sweaters I bought her in high school and she's 55+. This sweater is absolutely beautiful. It’s chunky, warm and comfortable. The cable stitch is flawless and you can tell that great care was taken in the making. I most often wear a size L but I ordered this in an XL and am very happy with the fit. I really liked the snug wrists on the sleeves and how warm and cozy this felt. It fits as expected and while not super soft, was very cozy and the knit felt good. The ribbing is beautiful and the buttons are large and casual on the front. Charcoal color is more gray than black. Read more

Many thanks, fellow sweater lover, to you and the seller for the opportunity to share my experience with SAOL 100% Merino Wool Cable Knit Button Cardigan. I'm very pleased to have this fabulously warm sweater; it's great quality wool and it wil last me many, many years. But gratitude won't keep me from sharing a few concerns. First, the sleeves on the large are 18" long from the flat sewn-in shoulder, barely long enough for my 5'10" 145 lbs. frame. The body has a relatively lean fit, so there's not a lot of width left in the shoulder to compensate--larger bodies would definitely find the wrists short and binding. Aesthetically, the flat sleeve is an abrupt shift in the pattern (and on the models), as well as a sign of hasty machine knitting--so set-in or raglan would be my preference with this classic chunky cable, especially if laying out import prices. Finally, the plastic buttons are looped on with only one twist of yarn and already feel loose--so I plan to replace them before regular use. Read more
