There is something about wool, that fleece cannot duplicate. The knit is a bit looser than I might have expected. On the other hand, indoors, it’s not too warm to wear. It has all the features I was looking for. The pockets are very nice for hands. While you can put a cell phone in them, they are straight in - not deep- so the phone can slip out easily. The zipper is two way. The wool is as soft as I’d hoped it would be. Around my neck, I do prefer to have another layer, as it is a little scratchy. The green color is a dark, almost black, green. I love to be able to throw it over whatever I’m wearing on chilly nights. Because it’s a poncho style, fit is very generous- I have 52” hips and 40” waist and the large/xl has plenty of room. I ordered the green which almost looks black online. It's definitely a dark mossy green IRL and has a variegated look with different shades of lighter green woven through it. It's decently heavy and warm. It does smell like sheep though, my SO notices. This is my second sweater in this style - the first one was the "parsnip" color, which I think is the same thing as beige. I really like these because they're warm on their own but the batwing style you can also wear another sweater or jacket underneath for double the warmth because the armholes are so big. And since the sleeves are only elbow length you can wear a coat over this too without feeling like a stuffed turkey. I got this one to wear over my motorcycle jacket since I'm always cold. Read more
