I was very pleased with this corset/bodice. It's constructed really well and shapes very nicely to your body. It's suuuper comfortable on as well, it doesn't bind or restrict in an unpleasant way. I wore it for an entire day and the renaissance festival and stayed comfortable throughout. Sizing was tricky. I'm 5'3", 135lbs with bra size UK32FF (or about 38" around the fullest part of my bust). My waist is about 27/28". I got both the size 6 and the size 8. Both fit and were comfortable. - I preferred how much more I was able to cinch down my waist in the size 6. But, I had to loosen the shoulder straps significantly for it to go over/around my bust, and it just didn't cup/shape my breasts very well as it was not large enough. I ended up returning the 6. - The size 8 was my exact bust measurement, and it fit my bust perfectly. It lifted and cupped so that the girls looked great. And held them in place with zero adjustments for the entire day at the fair (literally 8 hours). It cinched down fine at the waist, but I had it laced as tight as it would allow. I would have preferred to have been able to tighten the waist a little more. But it was definitely not loose, it would have just shaped a little more dramatically/nicely. If you are very busty, I'd suggest going by your bust measurement, as for me this was accurate and looked the best. It sat correctly on my torso. If you're smaller up top, you'd get away with sizing down for the waist size, as the shoulders would still sit nicely not having to accommodate a bigger chest. If I *really* were going to wear a corset, I'd get one from an actual corset maker made to my measurements. But, for a costume piece, this is pretty great. My guess is the boning is likely plastic, so, it will eventually kink/wear out. But you'll get a few wears before I think it would become an issue. Otherwise, the fabric is very sturdy and the quality is much better than I was expecting. The zipper did great and seems pretty decent quality as well. I'll be hand-washing this as needed. This is the comfiest, cutest corset I have ever bought! I took my body measurements before buying, I highly recommend you do the same. The material is thick and good quality, it’s easy to put on, and the price is great! I went to a concert in it, strolled through a whole city, ate several meals in it, and I was perfectly comfortable and unrestricted the entire time. This is very cute. The color is accurate to the picture. I'm 182 lb and 36D, pear shaped. I bought size 14, which fits perfectly through the ribs and waist, but the bust area is way too large for me and, as others have mentioned, the shoulder straps are too long and it causes a slightly strange fit. I will keep this however, and either pin or sew the top/neck so that the chest is not gaping open. The laces have a panel behind so that you don't necessarily need a shirt underneath if you don't want to show skin. The side zipper is very convenient. This would easily be 5 stars for me if the size of the shoulder straps and chest could be adjusted more. Read more
I bought this for a homecoming fit, and I honestly loved it. I am fairly small despite appearances and I had to pull the lacing as tight as possible to get the synced look I was going for, but It looked good without being synced that far. The size I got was perfect and I absolutely enjoy wearing it when I get the chance. I loved wearing it and will absolutely return for future corsets. Love this corset! It's nice and comfy, and not too hot for the renfaire despite all the layers we all tend to add to these costumes. I like that the straps come untied as well, because it makes it super easy to wear wings and then put the straps over the elastic to hide them. It does take a bit of maneuvering to actually get on, but it's a corset, I kind of expected that. I've found that if you loosen up the front lacing and untie the straps completely, it's easy to zip up the side zipper in front of you and spin the corset around bra-style so that you can tie up and customize all the lacing afterward. Honestly, it takes some practice, but once you do get it on, it's great for all day wear without even a hint of discomfort. I'm a size 38 DDD and about 230 lbs, it fit but it took me a while to lace into, your going to want to have a friend help however it looked amazing for holloween and I will be wearing again. The material is strong and I feel like this is totally worth the price. I didn't use the zipper but I did test it and it worked as it should. Read more
