This has a very strong scent similar to aftershave. It works nice, though, so I gave it to my husband. I like the bottle storing upside down. Very modern. The spray comes out very fine so it is easy to direct exactly where you would like it to go. When used as a styling product with damp hair, this provides control and definition to waves and curls. It does not provide a heavy hold. The product washes out easily and does not leave any residue. Any hydrating properties are unremarkable. I have wavy curly hair and this product does a great job of creating beachy wavy and adding some grit and texture to my short hair. I will say, its easy to spray on, and I like the look, but the scent is strong, a little too strong for me. It almost smells like mens cologne, or aftershave. This sea salt spray surprised me in the best way. It has a really nice, masculine woodsy scent—subtle but definitely noticeable in a good way. The texture it gave my hair was just what I was hoping for: not stiff or sticky, just that perfect beachy, tousled look with added volume. The media could not be loaded. It was easy to create beach hair with this sea salt spray. My straight hair is medium length and I just sprayed a little on my damp hair and scrunched it up and let it dry naturally. It comes out in a fine mist which is good because you don't need much. I used a bit too much in some spots and my hair had a waxy feel. The areas that I just sprayed a bit were soft and natural looking...not crunchy or waxy. The scent is masculine and lovely, but it doesn't linger long and it can be used for men and women. The bottom of the bottle is rounded so I set it in the cap in between sprays. Two thumbs up! This is among the absolutely worst smelling products I've ever had. I am throwing it away and not using it. I tried it once and had to wash my hair three times immediately (once in my sink did not get the smell out of my hair). Extremely pervasive smell. The worst idea for anyone who is sensitive or allergic to perfume or scented products. Will leave at two stars instead of one because the smell is specific to my sensitivies and I don't know the other specs because I couldn't make it that far. But the product page does nothing to warn of this horrid, pervasive scent, otherwise I would have rated higher. The smell seems man-like. I would never date someone who smelled like this. Read more

I did not have a pleasant experience with this, but you might. The scent is rather strong and I did not care for it. Even if I liked the smell it would have been too strong. It held well enough, but it left my hair feeling kind of oily. If your hair is a different texture it might be better, but it did not work for me at all. Read more
