The title says it all! I've been through 4 other air filters and all have NOT lived up to their claims. Im a smoker but my wife is not and she has mild issues with her sinuses. I've designed and installed a air system that removes the air in the room and blows it into the attic. But the vents are in the ceiling so we still need a good filter system down low. I had been looking at the SHARK unit for few weeks and decided to take a chance. After I hooked it up and went through the quick and easy instructions I turned it on the AUTO function and let it do it's thing. My wife returned home from work and asked if I had been outside all day. I said no and that I had been inside, and asked her "Why"? She said that she didn't smell any cigarettes or stale smoke smell. This filter is definitely worth the money! It does a great job removing fine dust particles and it's very quiet. It's amazing how good it works compared to the size. It's small for a entire house filter. It picks up kitchen odors 3 rooms away. And cleaning the pre filters is super easy and makes the main filter last much longer. I love this air purifier! I have two! One big and one small. I have an open floor plan and I hate how when I cook, the smell lingers in the living room because my kitchen and living room and dining area are one big room. I use one is this area and then another in my room with my cats litter box. I’m big on NO gross smells in my home and everyone always says they can’t even tell I own a cat. I run them 24-7 and it collects all of the impurities in the air. While I rarely write reviews I’m going to on this one. This is a refurbished unit, I knew that when I was purchasing it. What I didn’t realize is that checking elsewhere would have saved me money and I would have gotten a better unit with a remote for about the same price. The unit itself works well. There is a smoker in the household, the main reason for this purchase, and it scrubs the air adequately. It takes awhile for it to work, that’s normal. The odor neutralizer helps in this area, that’s a cartridge that inserts in the top. It is very quiet on the low setting but does have a white noise effect on the higher settings. The model is some what large but works fine in the corner with adequate air flow. It has a sleep timer that I use at night. Overall it’s been a few weeks and it’s a good product. Read more
