I got a new pair of shoes recently. I have wide feet--10 1/2 5E and have found that a 6E is a bit too wide, but brand new shoes that are 5E are a little too tight. Thus, in the past, I have used a pair of wood shoe to stretch them out. When I got my new pair, I put the wood trees in, and one of them cracked, and the other did not feel as if they were stretching properly. So, I ordered this pair--and they work like a dream. The hard plastic will not crack, and there are plenty of attachments to add on that stretched the shoe out properly. I stretched the shoes out for a week before putting them on today, and they fit fine. Highly recommended. Read more

These shoe stretchers work well and are adjustable for wider feet. Small plastic pieces which fit into the 'foot mold' add extra focused stretching for problem areas. My only complaint is that I wish it had a way to stretch out the great toe "top area" as that is a problem for me. However, the product is sturdy, well-constructed, and easy to use. Read more

They work very well to stretch out your shoes. You just need to be careful how wide you want them and how long you want them stretched. Read more

See the two photos for the wood pieces (shims) I cut and taped onto the back end of these shoe stretchers. The wood shims are 1/8" thick but they extended the stretchers more than that because they are rectangular and the backs of the stretchers are rounded. For effective stretching I had to show my man size 12 shoes NO MERCY, I arduously turned the stretcher knobs to maximum length and the width adjustment to the most I could force it. I used these stretchers on two costly Rockport shoe pairs I've had for 30 years but worn little. They had become too tight to wear at all, even with the thinnest socks I had. Afterward the stretching they fit comfortably, even with thicker socks. There was no damage to the shoes I could see. If this stretching doesn't hold I will revise this review. These stretchers made only a temporary enlargement in all cloth Adidas sneaker shoes, they seem to shrink back down after half a day--but this was before I had lengthened the stretchers with the wood shims. A big challenge for these stretchers remains--several Doc Martens size 12 shoes that used to fit, but are now too tight, including handsome dark red, deep green, and royal blue. ADDED LATER: Yes, they did the Docs! They are at least 1/2 size longer now and they fit well with my thinnest socks on. This required me to tighten the shoe stretchers--with the wood shims attacked to their backs--as hard as I could. With the stretchers in them the shoes looked stressed. When I removed the stretchers a day later I saw the wood shims had warped under the force these shoe stretchers delivered ! The shoes show no sign of damage, and neither do the shoe stretchers. Success! On to my other pairs of Docs.... Read more

Great product, helped me stretch my shoes to make them more comfortable. The do what they should and good price for what you get. Took me less than 2 days to stretch my shoes to just the way I like them. Normally I'd have help doing this, but these made doing it myself easily. Read more
