Simple Opulence 100 Linen Hollow Hemstitch Sheet Set -4 Pieces European Flax Pure Washed Bed Sheets 1 Flat

I’ve tried several different brands as well as blends of linen sheet sets and have found these to be the very best value for the money. For pure linen sheets this price point is amazing! I bought the plain white version first and found it to be great right out of the package. It’s held up to MANY washings and grows softer with each one. I liked the white set so much that I bought the gray and white pinstripes as well as the beige and white pinstripes. All sets equally good so far. The white set is my preference only due to the pillowcases being “envelope closure” while the striped sets only include regular pillow cases. Pros: -The sheets are medium weight heavy but still cool which is important for hot nights in the summer. -Conversely the weight of these have provided the right amount of warmth in the cooler months especially when layered with the linen duvet cover from the same company. -Unlike the cotton/linen blends these pure linen sheets have a great weight to them. They’re soft yet I find it easy to throw them in the dryer to shake most of the wrinkles out. -Even with frequent washing there’s been no issue with wear or tear over an almost 3 year period. None. -Best of all - I caught them on sale each time I purchased - saving a few extra bucks. Cons: -Really none so far. Will update this review if anything comes up! Read more

I waited until I did numerous washings before writing a review. First: Linen, I forayed into linen as I read that natural fibers have a frequency that is compatible with our bodies. So basically anything synthetic is not wonderful. So had to try out this woo-woo stuff. Linen: Think texture! Don’t climb into these sheets and expect slippery smooth! Not linen. But the texture is comforting and once you snuggle in, you will appreciate the coziness it exudes. They can be dual purpose too. Good for warmth and coolness. The temperature regulation is good. I have slept well on these sheets and do appreciate every time I climb into bed. they are well made and have held up to numerous washings. No fraying or fading. You do have to take care of them. I wash on the gentle cycle, and let them soak for 10 minutes before hand to minimize the agitation time in the wash. I line dry them and pop them in a low heat dryer for 10 minutes to soften them up. I love linen sheets- when these arrived, they were thinner than any others, but were also half the price. However, 7 months later, the sheets have holes-BIG HOLES. I can't even remove them without new holes showing up. My previous linen sheets lasted more than 5 years, and even then didn't have holes. I see some reviews mentioning this product used to be West Elm linen sheets, and their reviews look like the same sheets, so wondering if the West Elm manufacturer started making really thin sheets & banking on the high reviews for the West Elm sheets. Either way, I cannot recommend. For 140 dollars, I expect them to last more than 7 months with washing every few weeks without harsh chemicals. Read more

Let me Start the Review Thank goodness for competent Customer Service. I had received what appears to have bee this sheet set but it was repackaged and returned by another who had slept on it. customer, I was mortified and pretty angry, since this isn't a cheap item I called Amazon. I had wonderful help!! I was sent a return label immediately and I sent back the damaged and disgusting sheet set immediately. The next day I received a perfect replacement of the item. Clean, fresh unused and in manufacturers packaging. I was getting disgusted with Amazon for shipping damaged items or for not shipping ordered items via Prime which I have paid for for years now. This experience gives me hope that maybe all my complaints to Amazon are being heard. The sheets arrived quickly and were nicely packaged. I prewashed and dried them 3x (twice soaking in baking soda) prior to putting them on my bed. I was floored by the amount of lint that was collected on the dryer vent after each and every wash. I have a linen duvet and wear a lot of linen in the summer. I’ve never experienced so much residue lint. The sheets look lovely but they are not nearly as soft as some of my other items (including my duvet). I don’t think they are a bargain, I think they are priced according to the quality. They are thick and comfortable to sleep in. The fitted sheets easily covered my pillow top mattress but I was disappointed that the flat sheet is too short to tuck. (This seems to be a common trend with most sheets on the market. Manufacturers focus on making the fitted sheet deep but neglect the fact that the flat sheet also needs to be wider to accommodate thicker mattresses.) In the future, I will buy my sheets separately and order a king flat with a queen fitted to solve the issue. Update: April 2023 - Despite weekly washing and constant use over 2 yrs they haven’t developed any holes or tears. They’ve also gotten a lot softer over time. Yay! However, every morning when I make my bed, I’m annoyed that the top sheets isn’t wide enough to tuck on both sides of my bed. For this reason, I finally just ordered a different brand linen set but before doing so, I came back to this order to compare sizes. This brand’s flat sheet is 90x102, where the new brand provides a generous 100x112 flat sheet for their queen sizes. Seeing how well these linen sheets have held up, it’s a shame that they haven’t addressed the sizing. It’s the only issue but a big one that has prevented me from being a repeat customer! Read more
