Update: appears to be an issue with my fridge. :( Raising review to 4 stars. Short version: worked for a few weeks and then it stopped Long version: I pipe reverse osmosis filtered water into my fridge for ice. After 5 years using the included Frigidaire filter, the ice maker stopped working. I read a few things online that suggested the filter is the issue. This Smart Choice fixed the issue, but then the ice maker stopped after ~ 3 weeks & I replaced with an OEM filter. The RO water should be almost totally pure (hence the 5 year life of the OEM fridge filter) but I'm guessing something happened inside this Smart Choice part and it got clogged. Read more
