UPDATE: Loved these so much I got a second pair in gray suede, in the exact same size and material, but they are too snug. The gray suede is a lot more stiff than the yellow and they pinch my toes and my heel, even when wearing thinner socks. The quality of this line is so unpredictable. I don't get it. I wanted a pair of boots to wear in Montreal winters when it isn’t snowing. I found these at Nordstrom rack in a size 7. I wear a 6.5 in heels and a 7 in flat shoes but the 7 in these boots were too snug. I like my boots a bit loose so I can wear them with winter socks. I ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfectly with thicker socks. They are extremely comfortable, I love the color and I love the Chelsea boot style. Read more
I love the color I picked, it rubs off on light colors. The fit was a 1/2 size smaller so I had to return my first pair for an 1/2 size up. They are lightweight, stylish and appear to be durable (I’m not hard on shoes so I’m guessing), great traction and I’m not in cold weather so I can’t say if they are warm or not. The quality is there, but they are very narrow. I normally wear an 8 so I bought an 8.5 in both the brown and black colors. Both are too narrow and hurt my feet, but the brown are definitely more narrow than the black in the same size. I would size up at least one whole size, maybe a size and a half. As far as quality goes though, they’re beautiful and really well made. I have not decided if I’m going to return for a bigger size or return and find a different shoe entirely because they hurt my feet quite a bit. Edit: I chose to take a chance & wear them because leather has a tendency to stretch. After about five several hours wears they’re both really comfortable! I’m happy I kept them! Really wanted this style of boot. Doc Martens used to make one. These pull on relatively easy for being brand new. They are light weight and I find them fairly comfortable right out of the box. They do run small. I ordered half a size up. The top of the boot is a tiny bit snug but they will stretch and I love the look. Read more
I wear these boots literally everywhere. Fit well, true to size, and they were easy to break in! I wanted blundstones but these were way cheaper (on sale) and more comfortable right off the bat. Also waterproof. Read more
These were narrow. So narrow. So very narrow. Recipient could hardly get a foot in, and didn't find them comfortable at all, even though they liked the look and style. Some of the Sorels tend to run small overall, but the narrow fit especially seems to be a consistent Sorel feature. I have a similar pair of their men's waterproof boots, and they are a little narrower than I'd like, and I've previously returned a pair of the Explorer boots for the same reason. They are comfortable enough otherwise, so if you have narrow feet, they'll probably work for you. Read more
These boots ARE AWESOME! VERY BEAUTIFUL! Rich Color! Incredibly WELL MADE! Goes with anything, and everything, where fashion is concerned! And will ALWAYS BE, TRENDING! Buuuut….YOU HAVE TO SIZE UP A WHOLE SIZE OR, suffer the consequences, like I am! *I wear a Size 6 1/2, have narrow feet, and have worn Sorel boots, for years. That being said, I knew they’d run small. So, I ordered a Size 7! Ladies, I could still NOT EVEN GET MY FOOT PASSED THE INSTEP! When, I went back to try to exchange for a 7 1/2, they were SOLD OUT! So the color is wayyy lighter in person, I ordered tawny buff and in person they are a super light tan leather. I even checked the box to see if they sent the wrong color, but nope, they are just really light. Second problem is one boot went on perfectly, second boot is super tight and narrow, I checked again to see if one was narrow or wide but nope, they are both the same size.
