Speck Products Gemshell iPhone SE 2020 Case - Clear

I've purchased this same exact Speck iPhone case 3 times now and it's definitely built like an elegant tank and it has definitely protected my phone over the last few years! This most recent purchase was due to my husband accidentally running over my phone with his SUV so I needed to replace the case afterwards because there were some stress fractures near the bottom of the case where the openings for the speaker and charging port is located. What is so impressive is the phone continued to function normally and the screen was completely intact because this Speck protective case is an absolute tank! You can even see the tire marks on the screen where it was run over but the screen did not crack. I even took my iPhone to a repair shop days later for them to open it up and run diagnostics on it and there were no issues at all with the phone, the touch screen, or home button. Now I won't recommend anyone to have their phones run over by anything even with any protective case on it, but I totally credit this Speck phone case for saving my iPhone! And this 2nd case was already about 2 years old and still able to withstand the weight of an SUV rolling over it to protect my phone so it's definitely very well made and super durable! I definitely recommend this because speck cases are really expensive and this is a really good deal, for a really good phone case. I bought one of these for my iPhone 6 and when I got the 7, I needed to get another one of these because they are really good at protecting your phone. You wouldn’t need a screen protector with this case because it raises a little high to protect your screen and that’s why I love this case. It’s a really good price that’s affordable (cause speck cases are normally $20-$60) and it’ll last you a long time if you take care of it. I 100% recommend. Read more

My favorite case. Slim, but protective. My only complaint is the breakdown of the case after a few years - it got very yellow (understandable for a clear case) and the 'gummy' or malleable parts of the case did start to fall apart. Read more

I was hesitant to order one since I saw some reviews about the case being fake. You can usually pick your seller to avoid this problem, so I went ahead and ordered. I got the item early, and it was packaged well. However, the case came in scratched in the mid-bottom area. I initially thought that i got a returned case or something, but when I checked the original package it came in, the plastic of the packaging also had scratches. Meaning, the case itself has inadequate protection inside the packaging. So any wear and tear from the factory to your door, you'll see in your case. its a packaging design issue, but with phone cases with this material, it really is hard to avoid it. But I am not really that particular, especially since the scratches were not really that bad. They were not too deep as well, so I hope it does not affect the case's structure. I have been using speck a lot, and this case has been a favorite. My old case was exactly like this, and it has protected my phone well. So, protection-wise, this case is awesome. But if you hate scratches on your case, then maybe check out other cases made with a different material or finish. Read more

I’m in construction. I’ve dropped my iPhone many times, several times from a ladder to cement. My iPhone 8X has survived two years of drops, riding around in my tool belt, painting, plumbing, crawling in attics and under houses, cement work... the only thing that broke was my glass screen protector, which is cheaply and easily replaced. This thing is tough and rugged. My wife is a flight attendant and has dropped her phone from the door of a 737 to the tarmac and had no damage! The only reason I replaced it was ugly factor of the old one. With the price of a new iPhone, this is very reasonable insurance. Just buy it!! Read more

This is the only case I will buy for my iPhone. Because it’s clear you can see the pretty back of the phone. It is highly durable because it has a front bumper but the case is not bulky like other cases that have superior protection.
