I have purchased several of these and gifted them to cooks in my family and want to be cooks in my family :-). Everyone is so in love with this pan and they say they use it on a daily basis-they only wish it came with a lid. I first saw it on Michael Simmons (Iron Chef winner) food Network show where he grills dinner in his backyard. I wanted to try his Tuscan chicken recipe so I bought the pan and fell in love with both the pan and the recipe! I started buying the pan for my son, niece, etc. Great cookware in a yummy looking recipe are motivators to get people to learn to cook great food for themselves. This pan is in that category! This is huge! I got it for frying my bacon which comes in packages with 20 slices or more. Does a great job. Heats evenly but bear in mind, it does overlap the burner so it might crimp the space of the adjoining burners. Being a Staub, it's of excellent quality. And it's very heavy. I just pretend that I'm doing my weights when I hoist it out of the cupboard onto the stove. I need to write it into my will. It will last the rest of my life. Read more

I like Staub cookware a lot. This skillet is no exception. It is perfect for stove and oven cooking. The skillet is on a bigger side: A big chicken fits comfortably with some spare room for potatoes or other garnish. The heating is very even, although, attention should be paid to avoid over-browning. Cleaning is very easy both inside and outside. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. It is a Staub pan so of course it is excellent. The price from UK Amazon was really unbeatable and it came very fast. It was only about a week to get it and I saved a ton of money. The outer packing box was in rough shape, but this bullet proof pan made the trip without suffering and chips or dings. I’m thrilled that Amazon offers the ability to buy from abroad and save $. Great pan, versatile and can be used breakfast, lunch and dinner. My shipping box was pretty damaged, but the pan was received in pristine condition. Since it was for personal use, I'm fine with the box. They should bubble wrap the Staub box before putting it in a shipping box to eliminate damage. Got a great price on this pan and if you're not in a big hurry to receive it, it's a fabulous deal! At retail it's around $300. Read more
