The Best Documentary of 2015

gerard garilliJanuary 4, 2016✓ Verified purchase

Yo! This right here was amazing. One of the best Documentaries of the year & I truly hope it gets recognition for award season. If you were a rapper in the early 90's one of the things on your bucket was to spit flow on the Stretch & Bobbito Show. Stretch & Bobbito ran a college radio station that set a platform for many unsigned rappers. You'll be blown away by the people that walked in those doors. In the early 90's College Radio was everything! There was no Sirius radio or Internet streaming. If you don't like Hip Hop this movie is simply a muse see! One of the best of 2015! Read more

With this documentary, hip hop lives. It brings you back to the beginning of brilliant careers of those who started with stretch and bobbito. And it allows you to relive those days of good hip hop. I will forever be greatful for what stretch and bob gave to me and those that followed my advice to listen to them, and that is good music and fun and laughs. Read more

You gotta see this

Top two hip hop documentaries ive ever seen. My personal favorite for how it really brought you back there to that time & the feeling/vibe. I got pumped up on it(like REALLY excited about music again for a couple hours) and genuinely felt the magic of early 90s new york hip hop again for a couple hours. Read more

The Golden Age of Real Hip-Hop

A. GilMarch 2, 2016✓ Verified purchase

Nice documentary with interviews on the one the most pivotal hip-hop radio shows ever. There will never be another radio show or other personalities that will capture the essence of real Hip-Hop. The artists in this documentary are Hip-hop legends themselves. Real Hip-Hop died a long time ago and hip-hops demise began when the Stretch and Bobbito show ended. Read more
