This is a replacement for my original magnetic ring holder for my phone, from a different manufacturer, which lost a lot of its usefulness when the ring (where your fingers go) lost its stability. I chose this one based on reviews and so far I am very happy with it. Well worth the cost, and not too expensive for what you get. I don’t like the pop socket style of phone grip, and my hands are too small to securely hold a phone without some assistance. This is a MagSafe circle with a versatile inner ring that allows me to slide a finger in for balance, security, and a better grip. The inner ring is a bit stiff to pull up, but ratchets around all 360* to accommodate a variety of positions while holding the phone, and doesn’t spin while holding, which I appreciate. The magnetic grip is really tight! You have to give it a really hard shake to have the magnet let go of the phone; hard enough to almost bruise your finger, so no worries about having the phone fall out of your hand randomly while using. It also doubles as a grip on other surfaces, which I discovered accidentally when my phone attached itself to a metal object. The ring is sturdy enough to hold the phone semi-upright, which I find useful for reading recipes in the kitchen. Super-easy to install if your phone is MagSafe: just put the magnetic ring on the phone or phone case. It does come with two magnetic circles to use as a mount if your phone is not MagSafe. You can also mount the phone on any magnetic surface; my car charger is a MagSafe dash mount and the phone sits securely on it with this ring holder. However: it will NOT charge through the ring holder! Not a big deal for me, but be aware that the holder has to be pulled off if you want to use a cordless MagSafe charger. Read more

First off I like the simplicity and solidness of it, feels very sturdy, magnetic strength is very high, in fact the opposite side of it is TOO strong. If I leave it on when attaching to something, it will stay on the object and come off the phone. This is probably less of a problem when using a powerful case but it’s an issue when using without case. Which brings me to the main issue with it.. the phone side of the grip has no rubber portion to protect the phone or case. It is likely to cause scratches because they didn’t bother to put any soft material there unlike most others. If it had a rubber material on the back I’d give 5 stars. I hate attaching it because it thwacks the phone so hard. Also comfort is mixed, not as easy to hold than a pop socket type one. Read more

I recently had to replace my iphone (I had an 8 plus that had seen better days). I purchased a new iphone 16 max pro. That meant a new phone, a new case, new chargers (Different for the model 16) and I thought I'd try one of these magnetic (magna safe) ring holder/stands. I love it. Clicks right on and fits perfectly with my Otter box (Defender Pro Series XT Clear Case in Off grid Blue) case. It holds tight and makes it easier for me to hold onto, but it's easy on and off, with just enough resistance to not fall off. Recently got a new phone that has magnetic charging ability, so I was looking for my standard "Lovehandle" strap to aid with holding the phone. (This isn't that - but that's a different story.) Pros of this item: Strong magnet, so it sticks to the back of my phone case easily and stays put until I decide to remove it; the inner ring (the part where you can put your finger through to hold the phone) spins all the way around inside the larger outer ring, which gives you the ability to find the angle just right for holding; doesn't add a lot of weight to the phone, and this thing is also magnetic enough that I can stick my phone on the fridge or a file cabinet and it will hold. Since the inner ring has a hinge, it can also be pulled out and used as a kickstand, which is a nice feature that I've not had on a phone or phone case for a long time. Cons: When holding the phone - that inner ring is still metal, and metal isn't exactly soft on your finger if you're holding a heavy phone for a while. It's not super heavy but something to be considered. The other thing - which doesn't bother me but might bother you - is this is too thick to charge your phone with this on the phone, you have to remove it. One other general comment - I've taken this off and switched it out with a few other magnetic accessories, and it doesn't damage the case in any way.
