I ordered this to assist me with working on my DIY projects since I purchased a fixer upper. At first, this was a little challenging to setup because using this with a Laser Level was a new concept. However, it was easy to figure out after a few minutes. Like a light bulb that went off in my head. There are several poles that you can put together for a customized height from working in tight dimensions in a basement to a room that is larger than the average 8 feet tall. It's great how you can mount everything together using the ceiling and floor as your points to wedge and anchor to use this. Since it comes with a tripod as well, this helps make and keep your laser measuring tool precise without having to worry if you need to make any adjustments throughout the day, It will stay put in place until it's moved. Makes it convenient to work around. Since the ceiling and floors are used as a wedge, in case you bump into the pole while working, you won't have to worry about losing your setup on accident. Both the pole and other related accessories are very sturdy and made from a good material, so you won't have to worry about receiving a junk product that will only fail in less than a year. First, no instructions are included. Second, after doing research to find out how the device is put together, it broke after the first use. Third, Amazon only gave me the option to return it through UPS weather and it cost me almost $25 to return it because it needed “special packaging”. Read more

I ordered this for a very specific purpose. I am installing a drop ceiling in a large workshop and wanted to find the easiest way to line up the grid throughout multiple areas and large rooms. I am using this with a Takamine 12 line self-leveling 3x360° laser device. This tripod is essential for any similar type laser device. Most are sold with just the laser unit and then you have to put it on a shelf or some temporary makeshift bracket. Instructions were minimal, as is the case with many Takamine products, but the tripod was easy to piece together and versatile enough to use for a variety of applications. The laser attached nicely to it, and while it’s made to work across multiple brands, it’s nice having the same brands on both ends. I was able to get really good height which is what I needed for this project. And while the laser module does most of the leveling, it’s easy to get the tripod plumb and level so that the laser doesn’t have to work as hard. I was able to get it nice and high to trace the lines needed for my ceiling grid. Everything is very sturdy and precise. It made my job a lot easier and the finished project much more uniform. I love using a laser level, but I have always hated setting them up. I have actually skipped using them for some tasks because I didn't want to go through coming up with a good location to set it up and mount it. With this tripod, it is always a snap. Assembly is really quick and easy, and obvious. It goes together right away the first time. Everything is logical. The height flexibility is wonderful and you can use just the pieces you need. The tripod and the mount both have bubbles that are really helpful. The case is fabulous. At first, I thought I would find that everything was just loose in the bag. However, it has sections for everything, so it is all stowed nicely. It even pockets for the mount and the cap screw. Anyone with a laser level needs one of these tripod sets.
