Worth it. Accurate readings in the 400s!!!!
I've only had this for about a week, but I just wanted to be vulnerable and out there for those that may be looking for this kind of review. So please, no judgement. I originally bought this for my dog. I have an almost 100lb pit, who has Addison's Disease. We're gonna be doing his injection at home, so we needed something to track his weight. Sadly, his gates just too wide, and while this is a GREAT size for this kind of scale. It just didn't fit our needs. Was hoping to combine things and not pay $200 for a pet scale, but hey. Anyway, I am on the heftier side. I am working with Drs on some health issues and have been on a weight loss journey while at it. Now, we all know how scales, when getting up into the higher end of weights, can get a bit...wonky... We tested this with my partner. Significantly smaller than I, against a scale we know to work, but doesn't reach my weight. We then tested me. Now... Before this scale, my last known weight was in the 470s. Back in March. This scale read me in the 440s. If anyone knows me. I'm skeptical. I didn't believe it. Fast forward a few days. Re-checking and even come back the day of a Drs appointment where I checked me weight. And wouldn't you believe, to the T. 440s!!! So even on the higher end, this scale still reads accurately. Make sure the batteries are new. We changed the ones that came with it out to new ones, cause the original reads seemed a bit off. As soon as we did. No issues! Just wanted to put this out there for anyone in my position, on the higher end and looking for something that really reads accurately. On top of that, like previously stated. The space on this is huge! Very comfortable! My partner also loves it cause she can weight our cats much easier and more comfortably!!! Worth the buy so far! Will update in a few months with prolonged use! Read more
