This thing works great. I picked this up over black Friday to replace an old thermometer that had water in it. This thermometer is very nice and easy to use. SO SO HAPPY with results!!! Bought an expensive rib roast and really needed an accurate temp thing that works IN the oven. Was skeptical but works amazingly, i set the expected temp a few degrees lower just in case it had a faulty alarm or something and it rung perfectly on time and moderately loud so i wouldnt miss it but also wouldn’t disturb neighbors lol. Looks great and no issues with anything at all! So easy to put together and put away, super cool timer function i have yet to try, and the display is great and the magnet works very well! 90% done with the roast rn, i had set it to go off at 117 degrees F and stayed in the roast while cooking for 3-4 hours. I have been using mine lightly for 1 year and everything 'works'. I use mine for 'regular' cooking of meats in a pot or pan on the stove top. I like the strong magnet on it. I stick it to a rarely used cleaver hanging on wall. It stays beautifully, but is still easy to remove. I have not needed to change batteries yet. The issue I had was figuring out how the buttons work to select the meats and temperatures. The instructions were worthless. I did work it out after a few minutes of trial and error. Now it usually takes less than a minute to remember the 'how' set it. It is a major frustration to my mother. Her older hands have a hard time with the little on/off switch on back -- both in reading which is on/off (as opposed to temperature scale) and physically operating. The inclusion of the timer function in the middle has been an issue several times. She has yet to manage setting the meat selection on her own. Pressing small mysterious buttons on the top makes no sense to her. If you lack delicate motor control and good eyesight, this is not the thermometer for you. All of that said, I would recommend to the under 50 crowd. it is a reasonably priced thermometer with that nifty magnet. Read more

This is a great thermometer, it does what it claims and when put up against a non-digital thermometer it reads the exact same temperature. The magnetic base makes it easy to attach it near the oven door to reduce cord kinking. Read more
