These are my favorite boots. This is my fourth pair. I believe that they hold up really well and once broken in are really comfortable… with correct insoles. I think ladder work is the worst for these. It can crack the midsole and it will stress and break the stitches on the boot. I think the size is correct to regular shoes and boots but check the width of your foot! I’m a 2E and these are snug. They’re work boots. Held up better than redwings. Maybe the office hipsters haven’t discovered these yet so they’re still affordable for good boots. Read more

Good looking pair of boots and could tell the quality was above average. Felt comfortable on the inside and had plenty of support. Only negative for me was they were a little bit too narrow on my foot and too big length-wise, but I am re-ordering a new pair with different size. Read more

These are the most comfortable Thorogood boots I have bought. I have been buying Thorogood for years, and usually they are tight on the tops of my feet and I have to put the boot stretcher in for a while. These fit first go, and the soles are really comfortable. The only down side, is that I do a lot of work outside and the traction is lacking there. I did try to wear them fishing and my feet were comfortable, but again the traction wasn't there. These aren't advertised as an outdoor/ hunting boot so I can't knock them for that. Read more

I have owned a pair of AMERICAN HERITAGE – 6″ STEEL TOE TRAIL CRAZY HORSE MOC TOE – MAXWEAR WEDGE™ since Feb. 2021, which is a great boot about 4 hours of wear and it's broken to your person. I was hoping the same for these, and I'm familiar with this type of boot as I used to have a pair of Georgia wedges until my GSP got ahold of them, lol. Anyways, these boots are pretty much broken in; you need to wear them to fit your feet, but in my experience, the top of my foot is right where the stitching is on the inside where it U's just absolutely stabs into my foot. So far, I tried to put them on a boot warmer to soften up the leather, but it didn't help. Read more

Love them but my only issue is that the right boot felt a bit tighter but I think that's just one of my feet being wider then the other. Just like any other boot you have to break them in. they are a bit tight around the edges but we time and wearing them they will break in. Read more

I've used Red Wing Pecos slip on boots my whole life. That being said it has bothered me that they have been moving a lot of their boot manufacturing to China. I have several Red Wing boot stores around me and it has been extremely difficult getting the Pecos slip ons which I have always used. I was apprehensive on buying another brand but these are union made in the USA at a price that was comparable to the Red Wing boots. I wanted to give a break in perior before I left a review, so I have about a month and a half of wearing these every single day and I absolutely love them. The soles are super comfortable as I am on my feet all day with no soreness. If you are looking to jump off the Red Wing boot wagon, Thorogoods are the way to go!! Read more

Update 1/8/21: Thorogood replied to my email and based on the pictures they confirmed there’s a QC issue with the boots I received and to return them to the seller. Unfortunately, as of this update OutdoorEquipped has failed to ship the replacement. Originally I was supposed to receive them on the 5th, but I’ve received a shipping delay notification each day since. I decided to contact Amazon today to see what issue is causing the delay since I have received other items from Amazon this week. After digging in, Amazon discovered that OutdoorEquipped had placed a hold on the replacement boots until they received the defective pair. Even though these were ordered “shipped by Amazon” it appears the seller will not follow Amazon Prime policies. I’ve been doing winter storm cleanup this past week in VA and have not had an opportunity to ship the defective pair, nor was I notified that the replacement would be held until they were returned. Amazon said they contacted OutdoorEquipped and instructed them to release the shipment and I should receive them within 2 days. I’ll update once the replacement is received. I caution anyone from purchasing items from seller OutdoorEquipped as they don’t seem to follow Amazon policies. ———- I’ve been wearing Red Wings for the past 20 years and decided to give Thorogood a shot. I was shopping for new pair of pull-ons and liked the fact that Thorogood offers an American Made line of boots in addition to the imported. As the pictures show, the box I received through the seller Outdoor Equipped looks like it’s been tumbled in a clothes dryer. The leather has visible scratches. I assume these boots have either been tried on by multiple customers or previously returned. The right boot also has a portion of the white liner detached and bunched up along the insole. I started the return process and sent the pictures directly to Thorogood CS. Not exactly a quality product for the price. Thorogood, please do better. Read more
