Nice set, got this for my toolbox at work, I am a mechanic so I expect a decent quality in my tools. This was a good price point and a quality tool. Has worked perfectly for me every time I have needed it so far, I like the different attachments that came with it. I have already recommended my coworkers get one so they are not relying on a battery to be charged when they need it Read more

The media could not be loaded. I decided to try this new heat gun at my own house to bend a piece of half-inch PVC. Luckily, this happened at home and not a customer’s property. It worked fine for about a minute and then it blue flames up my arm. I managed to get it out to the end of the driveway. I knew that it was very close to exploding the canister through sheer heat. if you look at the photo closely, you can see the flame came from just under the valve, but above the propane bottle. So, I purchased this with the intent of heating 2" and 3" PVC conduit for bending. It took a little time, but did the trick. Read more

This thing does what you think it does, it puts out hot air, and it moves a decent amount of air despite the fact that it doesn't have a fan, the air movement is based off of the convection heat that's produced, essentially what this is a blowtorch nozzle with a metal shroud around it and some swirling fins to keep the flame for the most part inside the nozzle most of the time resulting in basically a safer blowtorch for doing heat shrink and whatnot, where this really falls on its face is the fact that the variable temperature setting does not work basically at all, when you set it on the lowest setting it essentially acts just like it does on the highest setting, I called the company and they sent me a replacement and it does the exact same thing so if you really need finer control over the temperature of the heat gun you're only real option is to move it away from the surface farther because the variable dial does nothing, this gets you most of the way to where you need to be with a propane heat gun for doing heat shrink etc, it's a much better option than a battery-powered heat gun, and it is a fraction of the cost of most other propane heat guns on the market, room for improvement though Read more

I'm on my fourth propane heat gun. It's a great idea. I can use it without running an extension cord. That's a good thing because I am usually working in places without power. Sadly the build quality leaves something to be desired. The piezo striker will apparently start to fail, but what really happens is that the assembly is coming apart inside the housing, ruining the grounding path of the spark. It's a simple fix to tighten the offending locking ring, but getting the housing apart to reach that locking ring is not easy. I've destroyed two of the three heat gun heads that I tried to disassemble. Anyone who does reach the offending locking ring will probably understand the problem well enough to be as angry as I felt. I had an electric heat gun last for 34 years. This heat gun would last as long if the locking ring was simply snugged correctly at the factory. It is like it's carefully assembled to fail in a year. Worked fine during the 3 times it worked. Now the ignitor is extremely intermittent. Not even worth trying to use. Will attempt to contact Titan and see if they'll replace it. EDIT: No reply from Titan at all. Don't buy this junk. 2nd edit: Spoke with a helpful person on the phone and they're sending me a replacement. Will update review if anything is better Read more
