I have used Tops in the past and have been satisfied, but this is a classic case of Tops simply cutting corners and/or farming out their production to inferior operations. While the perforation and ease of removal is superior to Staples, for instance, the over-all quality of this notepad is very disappointing. The cardboard is inferior and excessively floppy. The paper is very very thin. As an example, I happen to have a used yellow legal pad that is 30 years old and the thickness of the paper, stiffness of the cardboard, and overall quality is so superior as to make this product appallingly inferior -- however, this merely joins a long list of unrelated products that can be considered grossly inferior to the way they made consumer package goods in the past.
