The unit is a little bit noisy but I think some of that is to be expected from a unit this large. I use it in my living room and it easily cools the entire room down and does so very quickly. It's very portable just like you would expect from a unit like this and the only limitation is the length of the ventilation hose. It works great. My only complaint would be that the mechanism that clips into the bracket that holds the vent in the window doesn't seem to hold it as tightly as it should and sometimes it pops out. Read more

It works OK. I use it in my garage and it takes the edge off. I insulated my garage door and use a large shop fan and a dehumidifier in combination with this AC unit. I set this on top of a cabinet and vent the exhaust into the attic. I might try getting an insulated vent hose and adding more insulation to the attic because summer in Texas is no joke. Ideally this would be for a small office or bedroom and, so I know it's not really made for cooling a two car garage. I've had this for a couple of years and it's a lot better than nothing. I’ve had it a few weeks now and wondered if there would be trouble but it has worked pretty well! Quite powerful and keeps one side of my place cool in 100 plus temps; probably about 400 sq ft. All the parts were there and the hose fits in both the windows I have very well. Yes it is a bit loud on high but that is to be expected with these. I tried it on full automatic and it didn’t seem to want to cool but switching to cool with auto fan did the trick. I just leave it and it runs on its own. Have not had to empty anything yet. Of note - I own a Midea A/C unit and the app for it works with this one just fine. Device ID shows as Midea. Appears to have been made by Midea and branded Toshiba. I’m very happy. Great value especially considering it was bought at the height of the season! on edit: it is now the next season (May 2023), and after having it stored in the garage all winter I pulled it out and it runs just like new. I purchased this for a room, possibly 300 sq/ft, and it cools within 1 hour of use. Mind you, the ceiling is super tall, and the sun faces the windows at the hottest time of day, but it makes a huge difference. If you're needing more cooling, this portable AC units are truly amazing. The only complaint I'd have is the sound, it is noisy, but I'd rather put up with some excess noise than heat. Read more

Bought this used as New from Amazon. It works but it would be nice if it was a bit stronger. Will cool an average size bedroom on a sub 95F day but hotter than that and you're just making it bearable. Read more

If you buy one- get it new . the "remanufactured" one I got was a waste of time & energy hauling the 60 lb. unit upstairs & than down again to return it - after many hours running, it didn't lower the temp in the 300 sq. ft. room at all . in fact it rose it was 81 outside & same inside Read more

Let me start by saying I don't necessarily like that it shuts on and off like those old hotel air conditioners but in the end it really won me over. The combination of price, features, and efficiency, thanks to its excellent thermostat, makes this system hard to beat. My summer electric bill for the air conditioner saw only a slight increase due to its efficiency in my bedroom. I quickly adapted to the machine's cycling. While the remote is decent, I preferred using the app and smart home integration with Google (also compatible with Alexa), which worked seamlessly. Additionally, the easy-to-use window connections made it convenient to remove the unit on cooler nights. I would purchase this again if I ever needed one. Read more
