I bought this headset in mid January of 2019. The reason I bought this eas because my previous headset the turtle Beach 700s broke. I bought the 700s in early October of 2018 renewed on amazon. I treated them very nicely but one early January morning I woke up to them not working for seemingly no reason now this leads into my experience with the elite 800s. This headset has pretty good sound (not that I have anything to compare it to) and I like the ease of the charging station but that about ends the list. The headset has a TERRIBLE battery life fir gaming at around 9-8:30 hours of life with ANC on then they are sooo creaky and feel weak. The comfort at first was ok but once you wear them for around a hour or two straight they get very uncomfortable but this was easily dismissed by taking them off for a couple seconds and just readjusting them every so often. The app is sooo terrible with little customization options like I can change the sound modes for all the dock modes (Movie,game) but can't change the modes for just mobile?!?! And I am aware the isn't even AVAILABLE for ios and on top of all that I keep changing my voice prompt volume in the app but it just doesn't change and it actually is painfully loud. Now this where the real fun begins I use a ps4 slim which these are admittedly meant for but they do sell on their website an adapter for the ps4 slim so I bought it because they didn't work otherwise. It arrived and I had been using it for a while then a couple months passed and my first issue occured. For some ungodly reason every so often the audio coming out of the headset would crack and sound insanely Terrible and kindof hurt. Then a little while after my headset wouldn't play audio so I updated everything and looked up everything (in the useless app) and no luck then I luckily learned how to factory reset them so I did that and it seemed to fix my issue so around 4 months pass where every week I got around 3-5 of those "Audio glitches" and I had one or two more strange issues that made me reset the headset but then I encountered another issue where the CABLE BROKE!! The cable that came with the headphones to connect it to the dock broke! I've tested it and the cable still charges phones and my controllers but doesn't do anything to the dock. I replaced the cable and now fast forward to around November 2019 (The same rate of glitches and audio stops) now for some reason the headset started having more and more audio glitches like 3 a day for 5 days a week but then they stopped around mid December. Now early / mid January I am playing DBZ kakarot and the witcher 3 and siege and these audio glitches are extremely frequent and I keep getting tiny cuts of audio and pauses that are EXTREMELY annoying. The glitches are very frequent and now every other day something bad seems to happen. I can only assume this is because of the one year warranty expiring. This headset it GARBAGE please don't buy it I was like you a big turtle Beach fan looking up headsets and seeing this cool looking one and wondering why it has bad reviews and ignoring them due to me thinking they all weren't tech savy. Well now I am tech savy and I can easily tell you that the steel series arctis pros for ps4 beat these in EVERY SINGLE WAY l. Way better mic, battery everything. But sadly now I am trapped because of the ps5 coming out so I don't want to spend 300 for the arctis pros just for them to be useless soon.
