I never write reviews, however I feel the need to because of the relief this gave me. To be completely transparent, this was the only product like this that I have tried. However, it deserves a good review regardless. I am a home health nurse and sit in my car a lot in between patients. I have been dealing with a severe sciatica/ back pain flare up and could barely sit in my car without severe pain. I bought this cushion in hopes that I would be more comfortable while sitting in the car. While I still have pain initially when changing positions, this cushion has made all the difference in my comfort. I bought another one three days later to sit on inside my house so I didn’t have to bring it back and forth. So far the quality has been good and it fits well in my SUV. I recently purchased this cushion and used it on a 10 hour international flight. Size: I’m 5’-10” 175lbs and it fits me nicely. It also fit the coach airplane seat without spilling over. When sitting on it, you almost cover the whole thing and you’re about an inch taller. Comfort: the airplane seat bottoms are so thin and worn out, you can almost feel the frame through them. This pad made it so much more comfortable. The contours also provided support in the right areas. The only problem with this pad for travel is it’s bulky and takes up a lot of room. It can fold and compress a little, but it’s bulky. Overall quality seems sturdy, will see over time how long it lasts. Its already paid itself off with the 1 flight. This was a real life (tail bone, spine and gluts) saver when I was laid up recovering from a knee injury. It was comfortable and provided cushioning and absence of pressure in just the right places. I purchased a seat cushion from another company years ago that was soft/ gel like. I wanted another one for a second vehicle( that’s where I use mine). This one had good reviews and was on sale. It’s not a winner! First of all it came wadded in a ball instead of flat in a box and secondly it’s hard as a rock! I've messed up my back driving too long with no breaks and this was instrumental removing pressure from my tailbone to relieve pain when in the car. My car is low and I had to adjust it once I sat down, because it kept slip out of place when going in and out, but it worked great once in place. Now that my back is better, I brought it to the house and keep it at my work chair, just for the sake of it. I think firmness is ideal, it had no smell and despite sitting on it daily for a month, it has not lost its shape. It always looks "new" when I sit on it again. Read more

Right out of the box it is very firm and tall which I suppose is a good thing for memory foam, since memory foam tends to really flatten and sag over time, to the point of being unusable. Time will tell if it will continue to hold this shape or if it will begin to have some give as with typical memory foam. It would be good to eventually have a cushion that holds its structure but has a bit of bounce for the sake of comfort. In its current state from what I can tell it's good for people who enjoy a very firm, supported seat. Read more
