We absolutely love these lights. They’re extremely bright and when we’re working outside at night one of these is plenty to light our work space. They plug into standard sockets so there’s no dead or weak battery to deal with. No wiring is needed, the most installation you’ll have to do is screwing the hook into the back of the light and placing it somewhere, so it’s user friendly. Kinda heavy so it requires substantial support to hang. An extra safety chain with a carabiner is attached to the back of the light. Though these are LEDs, the light does emit a considerable amount of heat. (I use it when I want lacquer or clear coats to dry quicker and smoother). The quality is excellent, I got one of these some months ago and decided multiples would make my life easier so now we have 3 although it might be 2 soon cause our son keeps trying to get his hands on one of them. I was unprepared for how bright these lights are. I bought them thinking they'd be good for the garage or working in areas with low light and I'm sure they will be. Just plugging them in to test, I ended up seeing stars for awhile. Be careful not to look at them. The hooks are strudy and will hold up. They are a bit heavy so make sure you hang them from something secure. The electrical cord is a little short and may need an extention if your outlet isn't close enough. I was hoping these UFO lights were bright, and they didn't disappoint, not one bit. These are going to be perfect for my garage. I'm always having issues not seeing well enough when working on dark mechanics. These are managing that issue well. The hook screws into the top base and there is a set screw to keep it from drifting (spinning off). The heatsink casing dissipates heat just fine upwards. However, the lighted area also does emmit heat as well. In fact, it's quite warm. I may not feel it so much in winter months, but currently (summer), I sure can. Also, I suggest not to look directly at the light itself as the LED array is blindingly bright. That's what I want as these will be hanging about 12 feet above the garage floor, one on each half of the garage. These appear tough and quite durable and a decent value for the money considering how easy these are to install. I understand I'm being a bit vague here. The listing actually does express its performance well. There's no sense repeating it here. No caveats to report. Worthy or recommendation based on brightness, build quality, ease of use and price.
