The media could not be loaded. It has been a hot summer here in Boston. The muggy, sticky kinda heat. I really didn’t want to have to spend $250 on something I’m only going to need for the summer but last night the heat was so unbearable I finally caved in and purchased this guy. Came in 2 days and so far it was definitely worth it. Nice size to the model. It has a nice weight, definitely not cheap plastic. It even came with a remote! I had to finagle the setup a little bit because my window is too big to fit the full window blocker but it still works really well. Setup is super simple. Practically plug and play. The air is definitely a/c cold. Only goes down to 60 deg F though, but it still does a good job of chilling up to a medium-size room, just have to let it run for 20/30mins. I imagine this would even work well in a large room or house once given enough time to run. The fans in the AC are really powerful. Perfect for those who enjoy that background noise at night, like me. Would definitely recommend!!! Would definitely purchase this again. Update: I’ve had the unit for over a year now, still works perfectly and I run this bad boy 24/7 because I really enjoy the background fan noise. Like literally, I haven’t turned it off in a year and it works like it was fresh out of the box. I use it to dry my clothes sometimes! Jokes on the company/manufacturer: I would have payed an extra $100 on this unit if i had known how well it works, hahaha! Read more

I bought this unit after my central air-conditioner died over the 4th of July weekend. My home owners association does not allow window air conditioner units, but they do allow these portable air conditioner units. Pros This unit blows ice cold air It did cool down the room I put it in during the worst heatwave, when it was 110 degrees outside It's easy to install and maintain. Cons It's very heavy to carry. It weighs 48lbs. It's very noisy compared to the 2 other portable air-conditioner units my air-conditioner repair company let me borrow while I was waiting for them to replace my central air-conditioner. This unit barely cooled down a 200 square foot room. I still needed additional fans in the room because the parts of the room farthest from the unit was quite warm. It's Not as good as window air conditioners. I had window air conditioners in another home i lived in and they are definitely better at cooling the house. So if you are allowed to use them, I would definitely choose the windows air conditioners over these portable air conditioners. The exhaust hose separated from the unit twice over the 10 days I used it, blowing hot air into the room. Definitely a safety concern when leaving theses portable units running when your not home so supervise them. But when it's 110 degrees outside turning them off when you leave the house isn't really an option. So these portable units do work, and kept the rooms in my house at a tolerable temperature while I was waiting 10 days to get my central air conditioner replaced. However, I would definitely go with the window air conditioning units instead of these portable units if your allowed to use them. Read more

I got this unit in September two years ago in anticipation of cooler nights here in Georgia. The heat function started to falter and blow cool, instead of warm air. I gave up and got a tower space heater to do the job. Then, in the spring the cooling function started blowing warm. I followed all the instructions and cleaned the filters regularly plus I drained the tank directly into a bucket. I replaced it with another brand with just the cooling function. Same setup and this past spring, it failed. So, I got fed up and purchased a cheap 6,000 btu Midea window unit and threw that one in. It's been great during some very hot days this past summer. So far so good. I'm not sure if it was the transportation process of these portable type units being the problem with the life of the unit. They are heavy and tend to get bounced around I would imagine on a route delivery. If I ever get another, I'm going to buy it in person and transport it myself. Read more

I purchased this combination air conditioner, dehumidifier, and heater on-line through Amazon Prime. The product arrived at my door earlier than expected and in good shape. After unboxing the item and reading the instructions I plugged the unit in and made sure it turned-on. Upon witnessing that the unit started-up normally I shut her back down and waited a day for the cooling system to adjust from shipping. The next day I tested the cooling system and heating system of the unit and all worked the way it should. I have not tested the dehumidifier component yet but I have no reason to believe that it does not function as it should since the A/C works perfectly. This self-contained tower is designed to vent the exhaust-air through an opening in a window. Thus, adjustable brackets are included to connect the exhaust hose for this purpose. The system is designed to work in a room 400 square feet or smaller. My area was only 112SF so the unit had no problem with cooling or heating my space. The unit comes with a hand-held remote control which works as it should. I am very pleased with the unit and the price I paid for it. The unit is portable as it is on casters. It can be rolled about for placement or cleaning purposes. Read more

I have purchased 2 of these for my home. They help to keep the 2nd floor bedrooms cooler and seem to work better than the old window units that we had before. The unit is a little loud when turning on and off, I'm willing to compromise for how well it cools. Read more
