I am using this on the front panel of my PC. It only has one type c and two 3.0 ports. With this hub I now have five 3.0 ports, and still have use of the type-c. I've been using the front panel ports for USB adapters for my controllers and mouse. If I needed to charge something or add another device I'd have to reach around the back or find a wall socket. Problem solved. This USB hub is extremely well built. It has full aluminum case with a nice finish. It's plug and play. My USB adapters worked right away, and my phone started charging immediately. I also transferred a few albums to my phone. I didn't benchmark the speed but it seems to be no different from when I had it directly plugged in. My only gripe is I wish the cable were longer so I could Velcro it to the top instead of hanging off the side. This won't be a problem if using with a laptop. It works to connect items to USB 3.0 speed. It is faster than my other cheap USB 3 hub (which performs very slowly and may have been a mislabeled USB 2 hub). The USB-C with USB-A adapater is a nice bonus. Read more

I'm running out of open USB port on my PC so I wanted to get a hub to add more ports. I have this hub attached to an extension USB cable that runs to the back of my PC. It allows me to move the hub to my desk top for added convenience instead of having to bend down to plug things into the front (or worse the back) of my PC. I haven't noticed any speed difference and it seems to provide enough power to my keyboard, mouse and SD card adapter. Read more

I bought a small frame, lease return computer for basic internet. It's a great option but they don't have a lot of USB ports for peripheral items. This little guy provides expansion up to four I/O devices into a native 3.0 port. So this hub works good with lowere level items flash drives and other lower devices but when it comes to high powered items like charging phones or even connecting them to the pc it will slow the hub down. Some of my flash drives wouldn't even show right away and had to play with it a little to get them to show up on my pc. Read more

Worked right out of the box and is very low-profile compared to some others. Perfect for travel and/or reducing clutter on the desk. -Data transfer is fast, and devices connect with no issues. No noticeable limitations on USB drive's moving data to and from and the computer had no issues registering and using the devices hooked up to it. -The cable is thick and has the USB-C/USB-A adapter attached to it which definitely helps from losing it.
