The picture does not give it justice. However, the material was soft, smooth, dense and some stretch (good quality). Great fit and shapes very well. I am about 160 lbs., 4'11" and ordered a large. The dress is beautiful! The material is nice and it doesn’t look cheap ... But the back part bulged up on me ... I think when I lose a few pounds it will . But I’m returning it , because who knows when that will be ... But think it’s really cute ! One more thing . Note to Seller: make the buttons a little tighter on the side of the dress . I ordered several navy dresses looking for my version of a LBD. This one made the cut because of the design, construction, and attention to detail. The dress fits as expected by following the size chart.In US I wear a Large, but according to their size chart an XXL. The fabrication has movement, but is substantial enough to glide over the body, not emphasizing every bump, The design is incredibly flattering and elegant. And it has pockets - real pockets that hide in the folds of the dress and do not create extra width at the hip. The slit is elegant and doesn't go too high, but allows graceful movement. I returned the original and the 2nd dress fit perfectly. My return was lost and with rather funeral and moving I lost the Kohl’s slip, but didn’t expect a problem since the return process has always been smooth before. This time was not. I was charged twice!!! Don’t know if it was Kohl’s or the shipper but DON’t Lose your return receipts!!! Sure wish we could still find quality cloths locally to try on and eliminate the return hassle and this time rip off!!! Sadly I ordered this for my Husband’s funeral as he had terminal cancer. I followed the measurements and ordered XL. It took about 2 weeks to arrive, and was too big. I loved the fabric, and understated elegance, so I reordered in L. Again about 2 weeks delivery, but a perfect fit. It’s comfortable enough in spite of AC, I wore it all day for both the viewing & funeral Mass & gathering the next day and was neither too hot or cold. I’m 64 and wore it with a simple string of pearls and black heels. The slit is just high enough not to be too revealing and the V neck looked perfect with pearls.
