I am a Tall, 38" waist guy. Hard to find good shorts that feel good at waist, are right length, and are cool. These cover all bases. I ended up buying a second pair. The waist band is extra wide so does not cut (plus has rope built in waist to cinch a bit if needed). I have not needed to use rope as the large wide waist band keeps the shorts up on a bigger belly! The legs don't grip tight lots of room to stay cool. The fabric does not wrinkle much at all. I was pleasantly surprised with these and they look good on a 60's fellow! I would give these 10 stars if that was an option. The price is justified. trust me! The waistband is not like traditional shorts and is extremely comfortable. Shorts stay put without having to use the drawstring, yet remain comfortable and non-binding all day. The fabric is the most stretchy I've ever owned, yet it looks like an expensive, non-stretch fabric. These are hands down the very best shorts I've owned, period. I just ordered more pairs.
