VIVO Electric Height Adjustable 71 x 71 inch Curved Corner Stand Up Desk Rustic Vintage Brown Table Top

I was looking for a solid adjustable height desk for my home office, I was looking at another more expensive desk when my wife declared she did not like the color (who's office is it? ;). Found this one in a 'walnut' color that my wife found acceptable. The following is what I can tell you about my experience; I hope yours is the same. Delivery time: Deliver date was given as a week after I ordered it, however it arrived just two days after I ordered it. So high marks there. Packing/shipping package: The desk came in two parts - one for the legs/mechanicals and one for the desktop. I get the impression that you could purchase the legs and add your own custom top (perhaps from a cabinet maker or Home Depot/Lowe's, which is a terrific option. In retrospect, I might have done that.) The shipping packaging was solid. All pieces have sufficient amount of cardboard or stryrofoam to protect it from reasonable amounts of shipping damage. There is a high degree of likelihood that your desk will arrive in great shape. Material quality: Very good, more than I was expecting. The desktop is a 1" thick laminated top with clean ends, rounded edges and solid production - no visible voids, excess glue, corner chips, etc.. The legs appear to be of a sturdy guage of steel suitable for this application. Welds are smooth, clean, and complete. Finish appears to be powder coating and seems to be durable. Lift controller/control panel use high-quality computer/electronics-grade connections. Wires are more than sufficient grade for the application. A small bag of extra parts (screws, grommets, etc.) is included. Set up: The set up is pretty easy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there are places where you will have to drill pilot holes, per the instructions, and that might be a challenge for some. Otherwise, the installation instructions are complete and quite easy to follow. Operation: Changing desk heights is easy and fast. There appears to be circuitry to account for acceleration and deceleration which works terrifically well. When I considered a 'standing' desk, I was concerned that changing desk heights was going to be cumbersome or slow, which would not motivate me to use it as a standing desk. The movement is quick and efficient. For my sitting position to the standing position (I'm tall) takes about 15-16 seconds - made very easy with the memory buttons. You press the button and it adjusts the height to where you want it. Works much better than I was expecting. Overall impression: This is a terrific desk. Much better quality than expected for the price. The first desk I was looking at was $400 more, so I saved a significant amount of cash. And...my wife likes the color! ;) The only 'con' I have is the desktop came in 4 pieces. Would have been nice if this was just two pieces. With 4 pieces it made it very easy to ship - a smaller package that requires less packing material to protect it. There are, however, 3 seams in the top where the pieces join. To be honest, having used the desk for a bit I really don't notice it much. And unless you are specifically looking for it, it looks like every other joined board tabletop. Everything else on this desk is great. I doubt you will be disappointed. Update 6/30/23: It is now about a month and a half after I purchased this desk. I am even more happier with it. I really don't notice the seams. My boys have been using the desk when I am not there, set it for their heights. It really is a nice product at a nice price. No complaints and very pleased with it. So let me start with dealing with a lot of the negative reviews. I assemled this desk in under 2 hours with no help and a cordless drill. Not only were adequate instructions included but online videos also exist. I've assembled much harder on much worse pieces. Don't let that make you doubt this buy!! The legs, electronics, and function of this desk are as good as anyone I've seen. Heavy, well built, well engineered..... The desk travels up and down quiet and smooth as can be. It's very well done. The top might be the weakest point but at $700 it out performs anything in that price point. Sure a solid single piece of oak from an 80 year old tree that's 3 inches thick would be better. So would marble or gold....but at this price point the top is great. Not to mention the mechanicals are so strong you could easily replace the top. Exceeded expectations! Read more

I had an issue with a part. Customer service was immediate and extremely helpful. They shipped me a new part asap which was extraordinary. So big props to Vivos US based customer service team. The desk is great with a few caveats: Height - If you're under 5'6 be cautious. This only goes down to 29 inches. For me, that's about an inch too high for ergonomics. Most higher end brands go down to 25 and even 22 inches. Assembly was easy but the instructions are not good. They're just not for a modern product. Watch the video. This desk is sturdy and attractive, the raising/lowering mechanism works smoothly and quietly and goes to quite a height so is suitable for just about anyone. We got the 71 x 71 curved desk and it is big enough to accommodate multiple monitors and other things like laptops. Couldn't be happier! Read more

Great desk for a decent price. I shopped for a while for a large, adjustable, symmetrical workspace and this fits my needs perfectly. It arrive with no damage (though the boxes looked rough) and all the parts were present. The surfaces are a full inch thick...no flexing here. Assembly was easy enough. I did it solo, but another set of hands or two would have expedited the process. Put cardboard under the legs to facilitate lining up the pre-drilleds and moving around as necessary. Wiring and cable management was a breeze. I had some nicer cable ties/mounts and didn't use the included strap mounts. The result is quite sturdy. I have zero concerns around its durability. After plugging everything in and attempting to test the raise/lower feature, I got an error code on the small adjustment display. After a few expletives, reseating all the connections, and cycling the power, all was well. Height adjustment is smooth and easily controllable. (minor) Gripes: - The center section is two pieces. This really should be a single piece and would elevate the overall esthetic. Not a huge deal, but my mouse does stumble on the transition from time to time. Minor thing. - As others have mentioned, there are very small gaps between surface junctions. If you look closely, you can make out the floor/wall/whatever under the surface junctions. I was very careful with assembly and even used a dead-blow mallet to gently persuade the surfaces together as tightly as possible. The pre-drilled assembly bracket holes lined up perfectly, so I guess this is just the way it's made. Again, not a huge deal, but worth mentioning. I plan to apply some tape to the joints from beneath just to eliminate the eye-catching light between seams that occasionally interrupts my flow. Overall, super pleased with the purchase.
