I was sceptical when the box arrived because it was so light. But after I plugged the unit in I was sold. Nice output, just enough fan to spread the heat and I love the timer feature. I know what you envision San Diego to be but I am just 12 miles inland and it's been in the 20's at night. This thing has saved my life. It just quietly and efficiently warms the room. I leave it on when I go to bed and just set the timer for an hour. By the time me, the dog and the cats are all asleep, it just shuts it self off. In the morning I just hit the remote before I get up and wait for the room to warm up. It's great, highly recommended. If you order it, be sure you have two AAA batteries on hand because the remote needs them and they are not included. I guess the manufacturer didn't want to spring for 50 cents worth of batteries. This heater is being used in my kitchen which is always cold in the winter. For the most part, it is fine. My only gripe has to do with the timer. Yes, I can set it to come on in the morning but the appliance does not allow the user to pick a temperature when turning on. Seems to be preset to 72 degrees and can't be changed. All my previously owner heaters did give me that option. Read more

Great heater. Warms up the room nicely. Safe to the touch. Different functions make this heater worth the purchase. Remote control warms from across the room. I recommend this heater for anyone. Read more

I’ll say that this does a more heating than I’d expected from it. Eden pure has outlived past its prime (x9) so needed a new one. Staying with infrared for sure. Big fan of the uv use in this heater. If it is what it’s suppose to be and does what uv lighting is spose to do, than that’s good stuff. On high this heater will dump some heat. I’d rather the fan be little less than it is. This isnt the best heater to hug up on because fan strength, and this sucker will burn ur azz if touched in certain area. Needs wheels! 100%! Needs wheels! With no wheels the uv light intake is directly on the floor. If 2-3in. off the ground, less junk, dust/ hair/ etc., getting inside. No filter maintenance available. Id buy it again if it was for the same price$. Not now being 25$+ higher. Read more

This is a very good room space heater. It is very compact; easy to operate - especially with the remote; and is a good value. Read more

It has worked well for over a year, and was my second one. I use them all winter, one in the camper and one in the greenhouse. Not one of those cheap things that quit working in two or three months. I use mine about 5 months of the year, almost nonstop . Read more

UPDATE: HEATER ONLY LASTED 14 MONTHS. My first concern right out of the box was the thin cord (like a toaster), as all other infrared portable heaters that I have seen over 15 years have a more durable, safer cord. Also, this does not throw as much heat as other brands, but the added features are really nice, which is why we opted to keep it. Read more
