The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love the Vornado VFAN Mini! It’s so cute and stylish that I ended up buying three — one for each room (pictures enclosed). Its vintage-inspired aesthetic makes it a perfect addition to any desk, bedroom, office, or living room, adding a charming touch wherever it sits. Despite its compact size, it circulates air wonderfully while staying whisper-quiet, making it ideal for both work and sleep environments. On top of that, it feels incredibly sturdy and well-made, a true testament to its high quality. I couldn’t recommend it more if you’re looking for something that’s both beautiful and effective. Very powerful for its size and current draw, which is a good thing as I normally have issues with fans this size being inadequate. For the first time in this barren wasteland of a scorching hot desert I call home, I'm using a fan setting other than "max." Don't get me wrong, it doesn't have the surface area to move large amounts of air (so don't count on it being an air blower/extractor) but it certainly excels in delivering a focused stream of high velocity air for personal use (read: one person, and directly to the face). So I ended up dimming it to 75% of its low-speed setting which moved enough air and made very little sound (a very slight motor hum if you have 20/20 hearing, which could be user error as my dimmer clearly says "lamps only"). I still would have to knock it down one star on the noise level, as it is much louder than anticipated. Do keep in mind my frame of reference here is a 30" old-school Panasonic pedestal fan that is absolutely silent on low (and extremely effective) but is far too heavy and takes too much space. But when I'm looking the smallest size fan of a long line of options, I assumed quiet meant exactly that. The sound is not a faint "white noise" hum but more along the tone of a distant hair dryer on low. Am I being too picky? That's why I bought this and not a Walmart special for a fraction of the price, which btw, is quieter than this fan too. The front grill was rattling upon delivery (one of the mounting tabs needed to be bent, and they're not easy to bend! So I'm not sure how it missed QA/QC as everything else on the fan is absolutely solid, so I didn't have the heart to rate it any less than 5 on sturdiness and chalk off the rattling grill to my bad luck) so I ended up removing it as I found that it distracted from the clean design of the body which is why I was drawn to the Vornado Mini Classic to begin with. I then sharpied in a white spiral on the fan blade center to complete the aircraft jet engine look (which I couldn't un-see every time I look at the profile of my white colored fan with the front grill off) and of course, so ground personnel unaware of a running fan with no front protection don't get any...err...injuries? At the speed I'm running it at (75% of low speed) you can stop the blades with your fingers without feeling a thing (that or I have no nerve endings on my fingers). Pro-tip: If you're in the unlikely case that you need to make this fan weaker (as there is no smaller size than this in the Classic range, this is the smallest!) you can remove the rear cone-piece that helps duct incoming air to the more efficient areas of the blade (source: user manual) this will make the air-stream diffuse a bit and may knock down the strength of it to your liking. It's worth noting that I use this fan just for airflow in an air conditioned room set to just a hair shy of pneumonia degrees F. All in all, this is a great problem to have, as you can easily choke excess fan performance but you can't overclock it if it's not powerful enough to begin with. And it looks beautiful! Read more

Loved the vintage look of this nifty compact Vornado Vfan Mini back in 2022 when I bought it. It has been idle more than a year, but today I re-discovered its efficient design and effectiveness: what a great buy!!!!!! The blades and interior were dusty with the accumulation of fluff & stuff that I need to avoid because of severe allergic reactions to airborne triggers. My mini Vfan needed a cleaning… read some forums and finally found the manual online. Huzzah! and I read, then carefully followed directions to remove front grill and fan blade assembly. Verdict: easy peasy if you’re at all handy and all horse crazy kids get very handy and learn to use tools… but really easy, all things considered. One flat head screwdriver to release three tabs of the front grill — and replace grill when you’re finished - no screws at all. Entire plastic fan assembly pulls off. A brief but enlightening learning curve, mostly dry paper towel to remove the fuzzies and Shazam! Very easy to accomplish with the manual… Now for those out there who simply refuse to read directions or get familiar with a gadget or appliance: NOTE: This fan has two speeds: gentle and brisk. Both are quiet. The Vfan Mini is efficient and best suited to use on nightstand or desk or chest of drawers. It works best in a normal room - for high-ceilinged large rooms, invest in a bigger Vornado. You don’t use a kiddy car when tou need a bigger vehicle so don’t expect this wonderfully constructed and designed mini fan to produce the blast of a big Vornado. Just please start reading the directions - there’s a review that says the speed isn’t strong enough — because the goober-brain didn’t bother to read manual and get familiar with the controls. Two speeds, folks, gentle and brisk… Stay cool! Read more

Obviously, this fan is aesthetically pleasing, which is a big bonus, but I also got it because I was so tired of having fans that quit after a year’s use, and were glued together so you couldn’t attempt to fix any problems. I’m also sick of plastic things, so the metal construction was a perk too. This thing is very small, but it’s a chunk! Very nice weight to it. It gets docked a star for sound. In fact, I almost returned it because I was afraid I just couldn’t take it. The fan noise part is fine, but it has a whine to the motor that is at a register I just found really annoying. I have sensory issues, so I’m probably more picky about this than a lot of people. I wouldn’t say it’s really quiet, but overall I like my fans to have a bit of noise, since I need some white noise to sleep. Anyway, I’ve gotten used to it over time. It occasionally does get a rattle, hazards of a metal fan, but mostly it’s good. I also can’t believe how much air it moves for such a small fan! I had a fan this size before, and you had to be about a foot from it before you felt any air coming out. This won’t give you the air power of a bigger fan of course, but it really moves the air, and has kept me cool at night. Overall it’s a great fan. Wish it didn’t have the whine to the motor, but that’s really my only complaint. I will likely be buying a larger one from this company eventually since it seems so well made. Read more
