Works great. I only use the course side for extremely dull knives. The medium side is plenty for sharpening. This is my second one. The first one lasted me about 11 years and I use it twice a week. The moter was still fine though. It just needed a replacement part for the middle sharpening stone. I didn’t want to deal with replacement parts, plus they are expensive. It was time for a new one anyway. Read more

It’s ok for my use. It’s not as good as my old Smith’s sharpers. I don’t like the fact that you can’t adjust the angle. I’m sure it’s fine for kitchen knives and the weekend warrior. But I’m an outfitter and guide and I need to sharpen a lot of different knives. Being able to change the angle would be nice. It seems to take a lot longer to get my hunting knives sharp. I haven’t tried it on my skinning knives yet. Read more

first rate , a significant time saving device , both in terms of sharping the knives and the faster prep time . Quite satisfied. When using the course grind , do so with caution , use it only if you have a burr or ding in the cutting surface ; if your knife is already has an edge all you really need is the fine & the strap setting . It's a good tool.. Read more
