My old guy is 15, so the high end of his breed's age. His joints are stiff sometimes and his hip dysplasia has gotten worse over the past six months. He's otherwise in good spirits. He can't tolerate the thicker, softer dog beds that we have. He needs a firmer base to be able to get up and down comfortably, but the firmness of just a thick rug on the floor, (his preference), has led to him having some trouble getting up lately. So, I grabbed this on the hopes that it would be thick enough for him to comfortably sleep, but thin enough for him to comfortably get up and down. And let me tell you, it's perfect. I put it down on top of a memory foam rug on top of tile, and he loves it so much that he wouldn't leave that room to eat dinner until I took this mat into the other room. He has been napping, snoozing, and just hanging out on this, and he's not whining or having any trouble getting up and down. He's also walking easier when he does get up. So, it works amazingly after just one day. Since he has his special napping spots, I ordered another for him. At 20 bucks, this thing is a steal for how much comfort it's provided him. I got the 2 foot-ish by 3 foot-ish, and my 35 lb little husky has tons of space to sprawl out, which he loves. The cover is soft and furry, another preference of his. It doesn't smell weird. It comes vacuum packed, but it doesn't plump up majorly. If you're looking for a thinner pad, this is it. It can easily be spread over a thicker, more expensive bed as protection without making it too bulky. I had to cut the outer packaging to get to the plastic cover on this, and then the plastic cover, but it was easy enough with scissors. in about 30 seconds, it was ready to rock and roll, and my old guy was ready to sprawl out and love life. I love the quality, the size, the price, and how happy it makes my boy. I already bought again. Read more

I’ve purchased these beds several times over the years for my two large labradors. The beds are comfortable and soft. My only complaint is that after washing they don’t go back to the original shape and are fairly lumpy. But my dogs don’t seem to mind. Read more

This arrived very compressed in a shrink-wrap type packing. It fluffs out somewhat when released, but due to the dyes and chemicals often contained in packaging, I washed on gentle cycle in cold water and dried on delicate cycle before using for the first time. It came out soft and fluffy, didn’t bunch up or have any lumps, with no assembly required. It’s true to size, and it fit my dog’s kennel perfectly. His kennel is his preferred place to sleep at night. This pad isn’t very thick, but he’s a small 11 pound dog, so it works fine for him. I put a small, soft blanket in with it, and he likes to make his “nest” in that. If you have a larger or heavier dog, you may want to supplement with another pad under it, or a blanket if your dog likes that. It seems to be decent quality for the price. It doesn’t have a zipper, so the entire thing has to be washed. It’s not chew resistant, but it’s made for sleeping, so be sure to monitor your dog if it tends to chew things. Read more

This "pad" is my saint bernards bed. I bought 2 of them. The first was bought to see if he could get on it and if he liked it. The first bed passed! He could get on the pad and the top is faux fur material, its warm enough and the under side is waterproof. Just what we needed. My Saint is 7 trs. old. he was a rescue with health issues from being hit by cars and a skin condition. His ability to step up is diminished from being hit. His hind legs are an issue was well, his left hip bothers him and he isn't able to step up onto curbs without "jumping" with his hind quarters. We avoid curbs or high step areas if we can. This "pad" is compact enough so he can step on it without pain. I bought the second so he was one in the living room and one next to my bed. He enjoys them and I feel better that he is not hurting when trying to get on it. I can put a heating pad underneath to help his hips but its thick enough for comfort and the heating of the pad is perfect! The pad is large enough for his body! 47' x 27 is perfect for him and not so large that creates problems. He sleeps all night long on hios pad which is wonderful! The pad is flat with some stitching around the edges and appears to be of good quality. I have no issues with the design or materials. He likes it. I can also use it as a pad for the porch so he isn't laying on cold concrete!!! He likes laying out on the porch to watch neighbors and smell the woods. I was worried his arthritis would become too much and this pad is easily moved or carried to where he needs it. It came out of the box rolled up not folded!!! It was wrapped in a sort of bag which hsd to be cut to open but it laid out flat and ready to use! I can't comment on the chew ability as he's not a chewer but due to the material, I'm not sure a dog would find this a "toy for chewing". yet, again, this is a very large pad! For those pets with hip issues, arthritis or movement issues I recommend this pad! As I said, I bought 2 for different areas of our home and he enjoys the comfort of them! Read more

This dog bed is very soft and fits perfectly in the Rehomerance 38” dog crate. It’s quite thin but I put my dogs blanket in the crate too and he is happy and comfy. Read more

I'll give the pros first. Super soft on one side and grip texture works on the bottom. It's as easy to clean as a comforter for a kids size bed. It arrived overnight unexpectedly and the packaging was torn so the vacuum compression was lost and the box was ready to burst. Cons are it's not to true size as most things on Amazon turn up to be. Stretched out on a flat surface it'll barely reach 47 inches but at that point it's less than 1/2 inch thick. The stuffing is lacking big time. There's no access point to add stuffing either. It's basically just a kids sized comforter blanket with a rubbery side. But it was cheap and it's soft. Read more
