I wanted to buy the ones from Weber for my 58mm unibasket but it was quite pricey at 10cents a filter. This was a great purchase because it’s such a good value and fits my basket-the 58mm unibasket like a glove. Like many of you out there and I was concerned that it was made in China. However, the seller assured me it’s actually made in the US and cut in China, but still the manufacturer of the unknown as they did not want to divulge that information. The good news is that there was no discernible difference in the one made by a cafec(Weber brand) and this one. I recently got a step down to 49 mm basket and I hope they come out with a filter for that soon. Read more

Good paper filters. I use them on top of my puck to keep the shower screen clean on my breville bambino and they work perfectly for that. I like to think they help the water disperse more evenly, but idk. Never tried them on the bottom of my puck. Read more

I was hoping to use these at the bottom of my 51mm bottomless portafilter, but these will only fit the top of a 51mm portafilter, at least on mine. I guess the bottom of my 51mm basket is slightly smaller than 51mm so the paper filter puckers when placed inside. While I can still technically pack the portafilter with grinds and flatten the puckered filter out I’m sure it’s creasing and can’t be good for the extraction. They do work well on the top and absolutely do keep the boiler grouphead cleaner than without using them. I’ll continue to use the rest for this purpose and may try to find smaller diameter filters for the bottom of the basket or I might try trimming these a millimeter or two to see if they’ll fit then. If you're only looking to use on top to keep the grouphead from getting dirty I can recommend these although a puck screen would be more eco and budget friendly. Read more

Little paper circles. What can you say. Hopefully people are using these on top of the puck, not on the bottom. That might make it easier to clean filter cup, but it TAKES OUT THE COFFEE OILS, so why would they be using an expresso machine? But if they do, these will get a bit oversized near the bottom of a small dose with a tapered basket. But on top of the dose they work well to keep the coffee splash off of the shower head, or off of the puck screen if you have room left for one. That's my usage, and I sometimes even rinse them and reuse them a few times, as I'm already rinsing the puck screen anyway. Read more

What can I say besides BUY THEM. I’ve ordered these countless times and used them for hundreds of espresso shot pulls. These make cleanup so easy after making my daily lattes. They don’t affect coffee taste or quality either. These are extremely durable and do not deteriorate while pulling a shot. Read more

Using one of the filters did not seem to alter my espresso making process, output weight, shot time, flavor, etc. So, they seem to work well enough. But the price is pure robbery for about 11g of paper. However, I wanted to try filters from a product with reviews verified as trustworthy and this product's passed. In the future, I probably look elsewhere. No way I'll keep on with this price. Coffee is expensive enough. You can see in my photos that the puck on the left was made without a paper filter and the puck on the right is with the paper filter. The filtered puck held up just as well as the one without the filter, no channels or other obvious errors. The photo of the portafilter doesn't really do a good job of showing how the paper fits. It's a bit wide for my basket, but I'm pleased with the result as you can see the filter was compressed very uniformly. I'm using the 53mm paper filter inside a 54mm IMS Precision Nanotech basket. The bottom of the puck is 52mm. So, there's about 0.5mm of paper curving up the very bottom of the puck. I was initially tempted to go with the 51mm, but if I keep getting results like this I'll stick with 53mm. For something that works so well, it's a shame to have to rate it according to the price point, but it is what it is. Read more
