I received this product for free through Amazon Vine in exchange for an honest review. I was genuinely excited to test this system, and it delivered right from the start. Setup was extremely simple and felt essentially plug-and-play; I had it up and running within a few minutes straight out of the box without any fuss. It is a fairly large appliance so it takes up a bit of counter space. But it is a small trade off for truly clean drinking water. The filter design is one of my favorite aspects. It’s very easy to install and replace, and the fact that it only needs to be changed about once a year with normal use is a huge plus. We were previously filtering water at the tap and then running it through a Brita pitcher as a second step. Even with that, the water tasted cleaner, but I still worried about leftover chemicals. With this unit, I feel significantly more confident in the quality of the water we’re drinking. I had planned to test the output with a PPM meter, but I really appreciated that a previous Vine reviewer shared a detailed video and already measured those numbers. The results shown there were even better than I had hoped, which only increased my comfort level with using this as our primary drinking water source. One downside is the discard water. I don’t love that aspect, but it’s an inherent part of reverse osmosis systems. The saving grace is that the waste water doesn’t have to be truly wasted—you can repurpose it for household tasks that don’t require potable water, which makes it easier to accept. The dispensing options are another strong point. I really like the multiple ways to get water: the glass pitcher that auto-fills is especially cool and convenient, and the automatic dispensing of warm and hot water adds a lot of everyday usefulness. The child lock feature is also important, and I appreciate having that safeguard in place to help prevent accidental burns from curious hands. Overall, in a world where it feels like there are chemicals and additives in almost everything, including our tap water, this system gives me real peace of mind.
