WECO Whole House Water Filter with Katalox Light Ozone for Iron Manganese Hydrogen Sulfide Reduction KL-1054-OZONE

• The WECO Backwashing filter with KL/OZ is a specialized Point-Of-Entry (POE) system designed for municipal and well water supplies. Utilizes iron reduction media consisting of manganese dioxide (MnO2) coated onto naturally mined ZEOSORB. Lightweight filtration media with various functions and properties for water treatment and remediation.
• High surface area effectively filters particulate matter down to three microns. Ideal for removing Totals Suspended Solids (TSS), turbidity, sediments like sand, and oxidized mineral particles.
• KL/OZ unit retrofitted with an oz generator for improved functionality. Efficiently removes iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide through oxidation and precipitation during backwash operation.
• Backwashes every night and requires backwash flow gpm in chart below as recommended. Kynar check valve (part #316-CV-OZ) should be replaced and the corona discharge cell cleaned annually. Typical media replacement every 5 - 7 years* (depends on water chemistry).
• Reduces lead, copper, radium, uranium, and other heavy metals and radionuclides. The AIO/Oz feature contributes to extending the lifespan of the Katalox Light media bed, becoming active during each regeneration cycle.
