I have been using these from past 9 years, and have more than 8 units in use, and during Christmas decorations I use almost 14 Wemo plugs. They are very easy to setup, pair up using iPhone and works seamlessly with Google Home. I have seen various negative reviews about this product, however, in past 9 years I have never faced any issues, malfunction or failures. I took this product from the present supplier, which was pre-owned and marked “Very Good”. It worked great and worth every penny. Read more

Had an issue with one device not being able to be setup. Problem was the serial number on the card was not the same as the number on the device. The package had obviously been opened, perhaps as a return. The seller stepped up and went beyond what I expected. If there is a problem connecting the device check the serial number on the device, not on the card in the package. The integration into Alexa and HomeKit was entirely seamless. Firmware had to be updated on one of the devices, very easy with the app. I recommend these over the Google devices as Google devices will not work with HomeKit. I have 5 of the plugs and all work without issue. Read more

Eazy to setup and use, my only gripe is with the app, where it doesn't toggle when the buttons in the app aren't accurate (when the switch is on, but the app says it's off) Otherwise perfect for decorative lighting control or controlling fans in my case Read more

I used Wemo plugs (first Bulky versions) in my home in France for nearly 5 years and remotely manage my lights etc without problems to date. I wanted to use home automation with Apple Home as I am an Apple gadget guy. I read negative reviews and thought they have not Done something wrong and still bought the new Wemo plugs First hassle was that I could not set up another Wemo geographic site in my WEMO account. My Other Wemo plugs are in French time these would be in Houston. You cannot have two time zones. I was forced to create another WEMO account with another email address. Plugs were easily programmable, and they also easily connected to Apple Home. But problems started later, Apple Home kept on loosing them, its as not an issue with WIFI, I could see the Wemo plugs on WEMO application but they would come and go on Apple Home. I tried various options, locations in the house etc. I could not resolve it. This made me think that the issue is with Apple Home and decided to go Amazon Alexa route as the plugs are less expensive and there are more products available. the was by by to Apple home for GOOD. Since than I used two different Alexa plugs. Once I bought from Costco was useless. they were so weak to connect WIFI ( I have ORBI 6 with 3 Satellites and one on each floor where the plugs are). Than I chose the option of KASA plugs. They were easy to set up and connect to Alexa. Everything worked perfectly with Kasa and Alexa. But after the first few weeks 2 out of 6 plugs kept in dropping out of Alexa network (showing Local only) while they stay on KAsa network (well not really local than are they?). I reprogrammed multiple times, plugs physically can see in a straight line my Orbi Stallites but yet I could not resolve this issue. Well maybe my Wemo review went sideways but the new small WIFI plugs seems further development and are not reliable. My 5 years old WEMO plugs are 5 times the size but always work across the oceans. Good luck and let me know if you find out a better option that works all the time. Read more

I bought these to automate home lighting wh3n on vacation. These integrate easily with apple HomeKit. Open the Home App on iPhonr or iPad, scan the data matrix code from the device or on the included card the comes with the device, and follow the simple instructions. The device and Home app work together to set it up on your home WiFi network. You are good to go. To set up automation either use your iPad that is at home 24/7 or your Apple TV. I have an Apple TV. On Apple TV go to settings and go to the HomeKit settings, then enable automations. Once you do that automations are enabled on your iPhone or iPad. By the way, the iPhone and iPad apps sync automatically. The HomeKit is slick. For Apple customers this device is highly recommended. Read more

Ill preface this with I use these to turn on lights in my bedroom. I never try to turn these lights on when I'm not in the room so I can only confirm these work when in the same room. Across the house, I have no idea of its connection distance. But for bedroom use, these are awesome! Very fast reaction and work as advertised. Im very happy with my purchase and they were pretty cheap for a pack of 3 too! Read more

The plug works great 60 to 70% of the time. The remainder of 30% it looses connection to Apple HomeKit and it shows as “accessory not responding”. Set-up was easy and it integrated well with HomeKit without downloading yet another app. One of the plugs is about 5 feet away from the router. I don’t know why it looses connection- there is no reason for it. My other plugs (Lutron) work perfectly. I will eventually replace all the WeMo with Lutron. Read more
