So my fire tv only can do a sleep timer as long as you are on fire tv. Howev, I often use aux input for games, and I need a sleep timer. I bought this so my tv will shut off on a timer. This was tricky. I have a newer android phone and the bluetooth just couldn't find it. I watched a youtube video on how to connect just thru wifi, rather than bluetooth. Worked for less than a month. The plug itself works with the manual on off switch. However the app that this switch uses is very inconsistent and the timer function in the app no longer works. Read more
I got this to set my lights up on a timer. They come on and off when I set. It was super easy to set up, the app is easy to navigate. I like that there's also a physical button you can use to turn the plug off and on, if you don't want to mess with the app. This plug works great and I have no problems with it. I got this plug to control exterior landscape lights. Currently I have old mechanical timer, that lags 1 minute per week and has to be adjusted at least twice a year for daytime light saving shifts. Timer in SmartLive app uses actual time of sunset and sunrise and keeps internal clock synced with the network. Round shape and narrow profile makes it great for tight space applications such as inside landscape light transformer box. It is very easy to setup. Plug has multi-function button with 2 color (red and blue) LED indicator. Long press causes plug to enter into WiFi provisioning mode. SmartLife app detected plug right away and popped provisioning wizard. In less than 30 seconds I had the plug added to the list of my devices. Another interesting feature is electricity meter. Plug records time it was on and multiplies it on user provided or measured consumption power posting kWh consumption graph. That is why max current limited to 10amp as it also going to cut power to anything that consumes more before panel circuit breaker pops at 15-20 Amps, acting like amart circuit breaker. Read more
Mega impressed by this smart plug! I have the Tuya Smart app for an automatic pet feeder, and this syncs up to that! Finally, a product that does not need a whole separate app! This hooked up easily and fast! Just make sure you follow the directions. You can use it to set a schedule and automatically turn your devices on and off. Very good quality - this plug looks and feels like the name-brand options. The Tuya Smart app works well, and it is easy to turn the plug on and/or off. This one has been great for when we are out of the house to turn on/off lights and can be super useful to use in case you tend to leave appliances on when you leave and want the peace of mind of being able to shut them off while you are away.
