We bought these for our outdoor christmas lights. I love that they work with the rest of our Wemo products. The settings are great so rather than choose a specific time for them to come on.... i can have them come on at or just after sunset so I know it's dark enough. I also like that all switches come on at the same time. No setting up times and one side of the fence coming on a minute before the other! Nice that I can check on them with the app or use Siri to turn them on (or off) if I want them on (or off) a different time from their schedule. And, of course.... they are weatherproof! Read more

I use these for outdoor inflatable Christmas decorations and lighting. Makes for easy scheduled on and off. Pair it with IFTTT and you can shut them down automatically if the winds get too high. It's a pain to get the devices paired to your WeMo account/Apple Home, but I had good luck doing the initial setup inside with strong wi-fi signal. Once they're set up, they keep a pretty good connection despite being multiple yards outside away from the router. No issues with rain, sleet and ice so far. Read more

This was a great product. The only thing I don't like is I wish the two outlets could be controlled separately. I bought this because i needed an outdoor smart power plug. I had bought the Wyze similar product which was good and did let you control the two outlets separately, but the issue with it was it wouldn't maintain the Wifi signal...kept falling off. I use Wemo for several light switches and plugs so already use the app and have it tied into my Google Home & Alexa systems. The Wemo outdoor plug is solid. I used to love Wemo's products. The devices were really easy to setup and program. Unfortunately I can't say the same about their new products. The new products have a different software configuration that is beyond terrible! The Wemo app forces you to setup the device using Apple Homekit rather than being able to install it via the Wemo app (like the older products). The Wemo and Home apps don't work well together at all! It was so difficult to install the device that I gave up on it all together after 2 hours of turning my phone on/of, clearing cache on the phone, deleting/reinstalling apps, etc. Total waste of money...buy something else! We have two strings of lights in our backyard that I wanted to control via my iPhone's Homekit app. This outlet plug works perfectly. Very easy to set up in the HomeKit app and is very fast. With Homekit, the automatons are awesome and give you a lot of control over your devices, whether you're home or not. Highly recommend this product for any outdoor things. Using this for my fountain that doubles as a bird bath. Since I have other Wemo plugs, I knew about the odd way one creates rules and applies them to a device--not intuitive but eventually one figures it out. Once you set the rules up using the app on your phone, it works perfectly. It's been through a few rainstorms and is still working. And I like that it has an on/off switch so I can do so manually as well as via the app or using my voice given Wemo is supported by both Google and Alexa devices. Read more
