What a magnificent product! With the very strong adhesive, I placed the magnet on the back of my telephone case. The magnetism of the magnet seems to be completely uni-directional. by that, I mean that the magnetism is in force away from the telephone and not toward the telephone. The phone is completely unaffected by the magnetism. This allows me to attach my telephone by the afforded magnetic power, to any object with ferrous metal. I can drop a piece of metal in any pocket and attach the phone to the outside of the pocket if I want. The magnet is relatively heavy. I have quickly learned to appreciate this weight. Attaching the magnet to the telephone case also provides a small ledge which facilitates holding the phone. this is my second magnet that I've purchased, now that I have convinced my wife to also do the same. I am planning to order two additional magnets for my iPad and another device. The magnet is very, very strong, and fully capable of holding an iPad. The seller of this device processed my order and shipped my magnet the same day. I received my magnet a day earlier than expected. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that I wish to repeat. I've been trying different phone/device mounting products for months. They all suck in one way or another and if you have multiple devices you generally have to get one that's made for each. Suction cup on the windshield ones are in your way and constantly need to be reapplied. Not to mention getting pulled over for having "an obstruction" in your field of view. The air vent ones suck because now you're blocking much needed AC flow in the summer and heat in the winter..and newsflash..vents move. Sticking out of the CD slot...meh...I guess OK if you have a CD player. The cup holder with the bar sticking up that has the magnet on the end...didn't really care for how it just sticks up in the middle of the car. I've tried them all. None of them are well thought out and are in your way...one way or another, and cable management is a joke. I was also looking for a way to hold my baofeng radio without drilling holes in my truck just to have something to clip it on. This is the perfect solution. Not only does it allow you to mount things where you want, but it works with pretty much any hand held or mobile device. When you need to take the device with you ( provided it's not plugged in) just grab it and go. When you get back in, just place it back on the magnet. No clips, vices, straps, or any of that other nonsense. The magnet is plenty strong enough to hold any phone, tablet or handheld radio and the adhesive on the sticky side holds fine as well. If you've been trying one mount after another looking for the one that hits all the sweet spots and doesn't completely take over your cabin, I highly recommend going with the magnet solution. I replaced the sticky on the back with some of my own double sided 3M tape that was a little thicker and kind of rubbery that bonds better but the magnet in this is amazing and I simply stuck it to my dashboard and put one of those thin mobile cellular phone mount plates on the back of my 10 inch iPad and it sticks amazing and definitely does not budge. It was that simple. If you’re looking for a way to mount something this is it. You could mount your iPad or tablet to the side of a fridge for recipes, stick it to your dashboard in your car for large Google map use or whatever, put it in the office on the wall next to your computer for a second monitor you name it the possibilities are endless and this magnet definitely is very very strong Read more

I actually love this product and it works great however, my car didn’t have many flat surfaces in which I could place it so it is now covering a vent as that’s the only place I could put it. Before buying this, check to see if you have a flat surface to adhere it to. My car is a Honda CRV and the dash is curved not flat. Don’t was either cover the radio and be in the way of buttons and controls or cover the ac vent. With that said, it’s very sturdy and works great. I like not having to look down anymore to see my phone map. I don’t have a gps so I use it for that and my music. Read more

Magnet is very strong, adhesive is very effective as well. The only downside is that you cannot use inductive or wireless charging with a piece of steel adhered to your phone case so you will need to remove the case in order to charge the phone wirelessly. Read more
