This plastic alarm clock has everything (except the batteries!): * Silent operation. No constant tick-tick-tick to disturb you when sleeping, or working * Easy-to-use. Instructions are included (if needed) to reset the time, the alarm, or use the Snooze/Light feature * Battery compartment opens easily for installing 2 AA batteries (not included) * Includes a sweep second hand! * Alarm initially sounds a beep-beep, beep-beep pattern, then picks up volume and speed sounding a rapid BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP, BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP! You can either hit the SNOOZE bar on top to delay the alarm, or turn it off completely with the side ON/OFF button * LIGHT button on top when pressed once provides five seconds of light inside the clock face. If the button is pressed and held, the light remains on until five seconds after you release the button * Clock is NOT illuminated. You'll need to press the LIGHT button on top to read the time in the dark * Clock isn't heavy, but carries enough weight to avoid being easily knocked over * Perfect size! Not too big, not too small * Priced fairly I really like this clock. It's great on a bedroom nightstand, shelf, desk, dresser, or on a countertop. I definitely recommend it! Read more

This small analog alarm clock is very easy to set up. The clock face is bright white with bold black numbers, making it easy to read even from a distance. There is no constant backlight, but there is a button on the top that turns on a soft light when needed at night. Since I keep the clock within reach, it is easy to activate. I actually prefer not having a constant backlight because it keeps my bedroom dark. The clock is completely silent with no ticking noise at all, which is a big plus for me. The alarm is loud enough to wake me, but it is not as gentle or quiet as the product description suggests. The same top button that activates the light also engages the five-minute snooze function. The clock does not come with batteries, so you will need to supply your own AA battery. One downside is that the plastic buttons and adjustment dials on the back feel somewhat cheap. They work fine, but they do make me question how durable the clock would be if it were accidentally knocked off a nightstand. So far, I like this alarm clock, and it is doing exactly what I need it to do. At this time, I have no real complaints. Read more

I wanted a simple to operate analog alarm clock that I could move around from room to room as needed. This clock is perfect. Since I am a senior, I really appreciate the large black numerals and black clock hands on a white base that I can actually see from across the room. Another really wonderful thing about this clock is how quiet it is. There are no annoying ticking sounds at all. The alarm is so easy to set. You just turn a little knob on the back. When the alarm goes off, it starts out very soft and then gradually increases so you are gently awakened. If you want a little 5 minute snooze, there is a snooze button on the top. When this button is pressed, it also lights up the face of the clock for a moment so you can see the dial in a dark room. I am so happy with this clock. It is exactly what I was looking for. Nice clock, good contrast with white face and black hands and numbers make it easy to see in daylight. Is very quiet as they claim and functions well keeping good time. However we gave it three stars for the following reasons. There is no luminescent dial or hands so it is hard to see in the dark. Yes if its within reach you can press the snooze button that turns on the side light. In low light depending on the angle of view the shiny face cover lens can reflect light making it impossible to see. The knobs on the back to set time and alarm are very short sticking out about 1/8" making it hard to work for older hands. This old person wouldn't buy it again. Came quickly and well packed. Easy to read from a distance; Keeps accurate time; Increasing volume but (read). ___I ordered this for a desk top so I could be reminded of the time readily. I also liked the idea of an increasing alarm. This little clock fits the bill, though I would like it if the volume started lower before increasing. I had thought of using this in the AM so I could wake without waking my spouse, but the alarm starts at too high a level for us. The increasing sound involves more beeps per second. However, it is perfect for my desk, so I'm happy. ___Setting this is easy and quite intuitive, I don;t know why they say it's for seniors. All you need to see are the hands to tell the time: Their positioning provides all the info you need as it is rare to need the exact minute--personally, if it's 12:00 or 12:01 OR 11:58, there is little difference 98% of the time, (KWIM). ___I would rate this at about 4.6 stars, if I could. This is a nice classic analog clock that covers all the basics, at a price that I think could be a little more basic. The main feature we were looking for in a new clock was to be able to read the numbers from across the room. Big check. The numbers are large, crisp and clear and easy to read. For my husband it was also important to have no ticking sounds, and again check, nice and quiet. Another changeover is that it only lights up on demand, and we're happy to do away with blue digital lights that're constantly on. The somewhat alarming alarm continues to get louder and faster til shut off or you hit the snooze. The exterior is just a cheapy plastic, but I like the design of it that's satisfyingly simple and old fashioned. Add two AA batteries and enjoy your sleep in a dark and quiet space. Read more
