Xero Shoes Womens Breckenridge Barefoot Boots

Fabulous, wonderful, amazing! I'm no stranger to barefoot shoes. Despite living in northern Indiana, I wear my plaka toe loop sandals from March until mid November just for comfort. I always dread when I have to put on boots for the season. I ordered these in hopes of better comfort. Boy am I excited! They fit fabulously and are extremely comfortable. I am a kindergarten through second grade special education educator, dealing with lots of aggressive issues and elopement concerns. I need to be able to turn on a dime and run full out in some situations. The grip on the bottom of these shoes is excellent and I have no concern about slipping in such situations. My Arch and heel area or narrow and I often have issues with boots being too wide in those areas. These Boots are wonderful! Plenty of room in the toe box and bunion area but fit well in the arch and heel area. The laces make it quite easy to adjust the fit in different areas of the foot. They are so wonderfully comfortable and soft! Some reviews had made comments about rubbing on the ankles. Unless you are not wearing socks I can't imagine that being a problem. They are also super cute! Some reviews had commented about them looking like clown shoes. I totally disagree! I have ordered some barefoot boots in the past that did look like clown shoes and I returned them. These do not. There is a wider toe box but they are really cute and don't look weird. Although I am totally after comfort, I also want a very nice looking boot. These fit the bill! Very cute but also very comfortable. Some other reviewers complained about the hook lace areas at the top. Someone wanting more and some wanting less. I think these are perfect. Some reviewers complained about the laces being too short. I think they are perfect even when laced all the way up. Because of my physical and sometimes aggressive work situation, some boots that I've had with the hooks at the top and long laces resulted in bigger tie loops which could get caught on the hooks and trip you up in the middle of a physical situation. That is not going to happen with these. I think the laces are the perfect length and won't catch on the other shoes loops. Although I have always dreaded the time of year when I had to go to closed toed shoes, I am super excited to be able to wear these boots. Like I said, I am no stranger to barefoot shoes. My toes have suffered long enough! These barefoot boots are so comfortable. The wide toes bed is perfect for extra wiggle room. The short boot also gives great ankle support. The most adorable leather lace up boots, super comfy with a lot of toe room. Looks great with skinny jeans or wide leg and boot cut. While they are pricey, the craftsmanship is definitely worth it. Buy them!!! I have been wearing barefoot shoes for almost 5 years. My toe base is super wide. Although my feet would feel better in barefoot shoes I’ve never been completely comfortable until today. Today my boots were delivered and they are truly the most comfortable barefoot shoes/boots I’ve ever worn. Only negative is that it’s taken me so long to buy these. Love these boots! I have several barefoot/zero drop tennis shoe styles but needed something in leather. Wore them all day and they felt great, no break in period needed. The longer I wear these types of shoes, my toes are spreading, so I’m a half size larger than I used to wear. These are true to that fit. Read more

I do love these boots, they look fantastic, stayed dry in a little rain and I will keep them for running errands but I would caution anyone who walks a lot for work or otherwise. On day two, after maybe the third mile in these boots, I got a blister on my right heel. I think it's because there is a seam running down the middle of the back that sticks out slightly (see photo) My partner, a hiker and outdoorsmen, got the men's Xero Chelsea boot and also developed blisters on his heels after day three of normal wear (not even hiking). His boots have the same seam running down the middle back. I've broken in many boots/shoes and have never gotten blisters this fast before and my partner hardly ever gets blisters. But I really do think it's the seam. I'm going to try and sew/glue in some felt over the seam and see if that helps. They did run small for myself and my partner. We both had to go up a size. Otherwise, they are perfect! Zero drop, wide toe box. Aside from that seam rubbing blisters, everything else about the boot is super comfortable. Read more
